Fleadh 2026 Belfast

Unionist/loyalist weirdos like Moore Holmes and Philip Brett fairly changed their tune. Now claiming the Fleadh as some sort of victory for Unionism, with a snide reminder to the croppies where they live, as they have allowed it to happen in an inclusive UK. They must smell money.

Who is this Moore Holmes lad? Saw a few of his statements..in Belfast, NI. The UK. Etc. What a clown.


I was up the next day in Béal Feirste and gave the chippy lad, who was getting the grief, a bit of my business. Mistake or no mistake, fair play to him.

A bit like the BBC trying to 'plamas' the English viewers with Dara O'Briain and people like that in the senior GAA finals. To me, I couldn't care less.

Goin to take the hubbie and 3 kids on Sunday for a couple of hours. Kids are between 4-8. Maybe around 4-6.

Any tips of where to go where to park etc. coming in from M1.

I park at a car park at city link business park. I have a spot in it for work so don't pay but I think it's £7 all day on Ringo. Off the road at the Grovesnor Road and then easy walk into the city.

Spent pretty much the last two days at the fleadh. Fantastic event. There were so many bars about you could always get a drink somewhere but that Donegal bar looked the busiest spot by a long way.

Plenty of stuff to do for kids too.

Some amount of musical talent about too - young and old.

I walked past the Donegal bar I'd say 6 times over the course of the week and it was rammed every single time. Thursday and Friday it had a giant queue outside from early afternoon as well. Can only imagine what it'll be like tonight and tomorrow.

Haymarket was/is great. Music out on Royal Avenue and then a great spot inside in the courtyard.

For those who have been to Fleadh's before, is this level of amplified music normal on the streets? It's great for the crowds but a lot of buskers can't be heard unless you're on top of them

I thought Translink had it together for my route anyway.
I got the 212 last night at 10:15. There was a bus to Derry and one to Castledawson at the same time. One left for Maghera five minutes earlier. I thought the service was excellent.
We got to Castledawson and the bus headed straight back to Belfast for another load.

Revolution de Cuba (or whatever it's called) were flat out playing Michael Jackson.  Now to be fair there were a lot of people having a great time at it and the city is big enough for everyone, but it did wipe that street out for musicians.
Yer man playing Elvis was blaring away 20 yards from one of the Fleadh performer stages, that seemed a bit unfair on any acoustic musicians booked for it - but then again, who tells Elvis to move on?

This really needs to be addressed for next year. Whites have a stage slap bang on the centre of High Street that I gather is their own and not an "official" stage. Loudspeakers blasting it everywhere.
