Baile Brigín 2

I've given up on Man on Fire.

Tedious clichéd shite. If you like a show where every single soldier, cop and bad guy can't shoot straight but the hero never misses and he happens to have a bomb disposal truck in his garage this is for you.

Quote from: bennydorano on May 10, 2026, 09:21:56 AMLegends on Netflix, about UK Customs tackling Heroin in 90s, is pretty good - a few episodes in, very entertaining not in the great category.

Watching 30 Rock again as well, holds up well.
30 Rock definitely hold up well I watched it again recently also

Got back into 30Rock again myself with its return on Netflix... Baldwin and Tracy Morgan are very good in it!

Has Should I Marry a Murderer been discussed? Thought it had but can't find

Anyway, decent watch, batshit crazy. Knew the story but the back story makes it even crazier tbh

Main Street

Quote from: J70 on May 02, 2026, 04:39:48 PMShould I Marry A Murderer was a good watch on Netflix.

I was unfamiliar with the story: two Scottish brothers ran over a cyclist on a charity run, left him to die in their barn and buried him on the Highlands estate they worked on; then one of them meets and quickly gets engaged to a Glasgow doctor, tells her about it, and she's left with the psychological dilemma of whether to turn them in and give the cyclists family closure, and the aftermath of her decision and actions.

Does not paint a nice picture of the callousness of the police and justice system towards traumatized witnesses.
At least you didn't tell us if she did or didn't marry the murderer

Thanks Main St. Least I'm not going mad lol

The woman in question became seriously unhinged but before it all happened she was a bit of a crazy one. Anyway, tis recommended

Brendan

Started Legends last night thanks to the mention on here, good show so far. Is Steve Coogan under rated as an actor, been brilliant in anything I've seen him in even these more serious roles

Loved the film but Denzil is a huge part of that

Absolutely nothing to do with the book/film apart from a twitchy black hyper violent lead character

The big difference is that the A team did all of this tongue in cheek; it was a pure piss take.

Whereas the cornerstone of seemingly over a dozen high budget US tv series per year now seems to be "troubled but virtuous man with special armed forces training, who is justified, correct and always able to take the lives of dozens of less virtuous former special armed forces people".

J70, BBC Iplayer also has a good two part documentary related to this from the police side and the deceased family which would be worth a watch should you have enjoyed the Netflix documentary- Murder Case, The Vanishing Cyclist.

Exactly. More Bourne. But the A Team at least built their tech. This guy just finds it. In Rio. Alone. He manages to have exactly the whizz bangs to take on the world.

Was looking forward to this when I saw the initial headline. Doubt I'll watch it now that McGuiness is involved
