A bit like your opinion on the selections in the u20 squad your some man for negativity.
You've no idea how many Derry are going talking rubbish about nothing, home game for Donegal of course there will be more of them. In other news grass is green

I'm hearing the FB brigade are boycotting the game until the development squad, under 17, under 20 and senior management teams are all sacked and the entire county board stand down. Not sure if the hurling management will be allowed to stay on or not yet.  8)

;D CB are booking a Chambers bus to take them to their first game of the year I hear... Win lose or draw, they can look into the players eyes after and let them know their thoughts

Somebody from the county board has been reading here, going to great lengths to publish all the underage panels now

GTP

A positive development publishing the squads. Hopefully they will get to continue putting up the match day squads for our hurlers and footballers long into the summer.

And if you are reading the 'All Competitions' tab on the website should either have fixtures and results available or be removed.

And boys said we'd no influence 😜

Now, maybe a bit of promotion of the leagues wouldn't go amiss.....

Last year they done Instagram stories for each round of the league...which was an improvement on before

Fair enough. Still an X man for the Derry stuff tbh

Donegal have become what we were a couple of years ago.

Irrespective of management there are too many established players mcguigan, ethan, cassidy just not at the level required. Mcguigan has become just a free taker and very poor at the penalty today.

How do we not have a backup keeper? Whatever chance we had disappeared with no kick out strategy. Completely cleaned out at midfield.

Mario

We cant put in a performance for 70 min. Even today we looked good at times, first 20 min was prob exactly what tally wanted. 5 min into second half the same but without a proper goalkeeper we are just looping kickouts up in the air and we get cleaned out and hit for about 7 points in 5 min after each period. Then we are desperate and play hopeless 1 dimensional football.

Lynch is the most important player on our team. Some individual performances are a concern but I think it's just a culmination of everything. They haven't become bad players overnight. There is a chance to regroup now and hopefully turn a corner in the group stage.

Saving grace is that Odhran Lynch's injury isn't as bad as initially expected, hope tally has to something to show for this block of work between the groups though

Lynch the most important player? If they just held onto scullion instead of outfield player

Wildweasel74

That's the day as bad as it seen in championship in a long time and that's taking in general, when we had poor teams. Not 1 positive can be taken from the game. 7 or 8 lads are so lucky our subs bench is so unexperienced.Harte took the team back, Tally totally sunk it.we a mile off where we were 2 years ago, even with injuries. Somebody explain Derry tactics on Defence, midfield and kickout because I see none. PS the Derry support there was shockingly poor.

tbrick18

Hopefully all the Lynch critics over the years now see how important he is to Derry.
A huge part of the issues today was the keeper but too many of our main players just didn't perform.
McGuigan not at the races at all, his penalty was awful. Murray really the only forward making a fist of it, and we couldn't get the ball to him.
Glass seemed to pick up an injury in the first half too, was limping. Came out in the 2nd half with his knee strapped, wasn't his usual self either.
Rogers was prob our best player, but gave away 2 needless scores for not handi g the ball back and pushing a man after the free was given.

We have no kickout strategy, or maybe we do and McNicholl couldn't deliver.
Toothless in attack, side to side with no-one off the shoulder.

Big Higgins was decent, don't know why he was taken off. I thought Murphy should have seen red for the hit on Loughlin, might have been a different game if they were down to 14.

Really strange substitution too on Toner just as he was lined up to hit a free. Why didn't htye wait until after he hit it?

That was the stro gest team Derry had out in a while, and apart from the first 20 mins we weren't at the races.

Really disappointing across the board, players and management.

They say noone in Derry is good enough to take the team, so 10s of thousands spent on another blow in only to take the team further backwards, why can't a Derry man just be given a chance?

The players very clearly have a love in for Gallagher, you'd assume they'd have a bit more respect for a fellow Derry man and not some one on the county manager merry go round just looking another big pay packet

Wildweasel74

Glass was injured 15mins in, i be worried he's done knee ligaments, couldn't move well at all.
