Easy to forget to be fair, hasn't been a mention of it

GTP

Good performances across the team and the subs that were brought on. I thought McEldowney, Forbes and the two midfielders showed up best, but you could have picked out others. I think a team with better forwards could cause problems on quick breaks and as said previously I didn't think defence looked comfortable under high ball. Very good on breaking ball at midfield and the defence worked well as a unit.

My first thoughts were that Mackers is building more so for next year and year after judging by panel selection but possibly those omitted havent pushed on and stood out at club level.

Noticed Cahir Spiers started for magherafelt last night so has obviously left the panel.

Anyone at the game? Almost forgot the club league kicking off this weekend.
The under 20s were  very impressive las with a lot of excellent performances throughout Finn McEldowney and Tommy Rodgers probably the pick of them imho ,from what I hear Cahar Spiers was very good for Magherafelt, (both teams were very understrength )

Hoping C Spiers is still in the u20 panel. He is a very good prospect, got minutes in the game against Armagh and I think is needed for the bigger games down the line.

Every team is under pressure with a high ball.

Launch a high ball into any square and it's panic stations.

Mustn't be alot of Derry ones going, tickets are fairly handy to get compared to the same mad panic for tickets for the same fixture last year.

I'm hearing the FB brigade are boycotting the game until the development squad, under 17, under 20 and senior management teams are all sacked and the entire county board stand down. Not sure if the hurling management will be allowed to stay on or not yet.  8)

Mustn't be many Donegal ones going tickets are fairly handy to get compared with Ulster Final 2022.
