30 points a 17 point win, why at this stage are there complaints about the squad selection?
You'd almost think they'd been hammered in the first game reading some of the comments here. Embarrassing stuff. Are some of us just never happy?  ::)
My comments weren't in regards to the team or performance. Delighted to see progress. We have a lad playing mf, delighted for him, good player with a good future. Doesn't mean we can't comment that a few others have been treated poorly.

Are you around the panel?? Have you been watching trials and training games?

How do you know they've been treated poorly then???

As a few posters have said, we've got competition for places on the squad, never mind the team. That's incredibly positive. What's went before has (and should have) no bearing on what a new management team see in front of them. It's not a slight on any player; but nobody has a divine right to be involved in a county panel.

We are sometimes too sentimental & have people involved out of a sense of loyalty. I'm not close enough to know any of the lads impacted, but I would suggest giving a younger lad (with 2 AI medals) a couple of extra years on an U20 panel benefits Derry in immeasurable ways in 3/4/5 years time.

As screenexile says, none of us see what happens on the training ground. I'd trust the management team. Sounds more like some on here have a personal grievance with the management rather than the decision itself.

Same U20 side named for tonight. Hopefully they go well again.

Nice to see the minor panel being named too, with a good spread of clubs on it.

If they don't win by 20pts plus this place could turn nasty 🤭

Couple of changes on the bench I see with Haran and McHugh coming in for Spiers and McCann,

McErlain should be sacked.

Only 17 in it at the end, really disrespectful the last years players who I think would have won by 18 at least. Mc Erlain out.

Mackers is hanging on by his fingertips, he'll know he's drinking in the last chance saloon, hope he can turn it around

Still need to not lose against Cavan to go straight to semi final but two good results so far. A little bit slack in defence tonight maybe got away with Monaghan over playing and the loss of their 11 to injury. He had been causing issues in general play and under high ball.
Management survive to go another day.

Surely a vote of no confidence or secret ballot of some sort brings this to a head

Ball

U20's looking strong so far.

My first thoughts were that Mackers is building more so for next year and year after judging by panel selection but possibly those omitted havent pushed on and stood out at club level.

Noticed Cahir Spiers started for magherafelt last night so has obviously left the panel.

Anyone at the game? Almost forgot the club league kicking off this weekend.
