Few hockey lads, rowers, archery fella from Banbridge that I know of. I remember seeing somewhere there was about 30 from the black north representing Ireland or GB.

Few hockey lads, rowers, archery fella from Banbridge that I know of. I remember seeing somewhere there was about 30 from the black north representing Ireland or GB.

Something like 28 people from the 6 counties involved 21 on team Ireland

What about the recent revelations from John Conlon regarding Michael o Reilly serious questions need asked. Absolutely shocking stuff ye wouldn't get away with it on a junior b reserve panel never mind on a team planning to bring back a serious amount of medals. I think this goes higher than Zaur and John I think it's the same set up who let Billy Walsh go. I'm absolutely disgusted.

It isn't always choice either. Standard higher across the board on the british team so a lot will be good enough for the irish team but not the GB team. There's never much controversy in that area. Only one I ever remember was in any way controversial was McIlroy from Larne who ran for Ireland then switched whenever he was good enough for GB.

The only lasting good to come from Rio can be overhauling the old boy's club in the IABA. If Shane Ross got rid of some of them and Hickey he'd have done his job well.

Getting rid of the lads who ran Walsh is the prerequisite to ever having a shot at getting him back.
