How long has this Tyrone team been going for?

Is Galway winning Connacht this year the start or the end of this team?
probably the shtart.  I think Galway still have more all Irelands than Tyrone.

Congratulations Seafoid, I'm sure that will keep you happy as Tipp take the field in a few weeks time. Not relevant in this thread though!
There will be another one on next year Benny.

This thread once again highlights the astonishing extent of anti catholicism on this Board.A non story is twisted to portray three fine young men training to be priests as gay and being moved to Rome on account of this, when the reality is totally different.Sad.Is there any other group anywhere more vilified today than the Catholic Church and its faithful members?
Try itinérants,  transgender teenagers or asylum seekers before whining about priests, Tony

The cream of Irish seminarians is available via Grindr apparently. Drink sensibly

Every time I see Trump he is talking to his Base in a parallel reality.
Very Fox echo chamber . Very Roger Ailes. No facts just narratives.
But women and Latinos do not live in Fox world. So he hasn't a hope.

We need to talk about Croke Park.
We need to talk more about money.
And how to get people going to matches again.

Reaching out to the flock via social media is good. But not via Grindr

Mayo are a great team. Tyrone are learning.

Sean Cav,  Colm Cavan and Peter Harte will win one if we beat Mayo. Maybe Tiernan if he can get a few points.
Not if Tipp win the semi.

No, there'll be no calls for MH's managerial head on a plate, regardless of how it goes on Saturday next.

His lieutenants, in Devlin and Donnelly, have played their parts too, and the greater 70+ minutes stamina of this particular Tyrone team is testimony to their efforts, specifically on the latter's behalf.
He reminds me of Sean Boylan when Meath were good. They were fiercely loyal. He was like the Meath whisperer.

Respect comes slowly. Not even after putting Cork away did Kearns feel it was given.
"How could Cork lose? They have so much talent. To lose to Tipperary is a disgrace. We got no credit at all for that game. Bit more for the Derry win but we were boxed off as the romance, ourselves and Clare. But as I said to the lads, 'The script here is we are to drift away after today and be happy for our day in the sun but we are not going to read the script'."

Based on this years form Tyrone are rightfully slight favourites for this game. Mayo were disappointing against Galway and have did nothing in the qualifiers to suggest they're All Ireland contenders. To be honest for long spells in all games they have been very poor.

That does not mean they don't have a good chance on Saturday. They have a core of players used to winning quarter and semi finals. They will find it a lot easier to get up for this match than any game this year and given they're underdogs they'll have a point to prove. It could be the last stand for a number of the team in terms of trying to win an all Ireland. Tyrone in 08 and Kerry in 09 showed that the bigger teams can stumble through a championship then turn it on come the quarter finals. Mayo also have a good record against Tyrone.

Hopefully given its in Croke Park Tyrone can show a bit more adventure for this game and have a real go at Mayo. We need at least one of our inside forwards to do a bit of scoring and combined with a wide range of scoring ability out the pitch will hopefully be enough to get us over the line.

In terms of the team its hard to see many changes from the ulster final. Rory Brennan could come in for McShane and Bradley or McCurry could get into the fill forward line but that's less likely.
Jim McGuinness has a lot to answer for
Tyrone used to be able to kick the ball into the inside forwards in order to generate scores
