Anyway it's very sporting of Sean Cavanagh to support a player on a rival team in this fashion and i think he should be commended for doing so.

Terrible game, thought Derry looked clueless. IMO we weren't set up to win the game, we needed to really attack this game using players such as McKaigue, Sean Leo and O'Kane to carry the game forward. As i suggested prior to the game playing Paul Murphy at MF was a complete no-no. Thought SML, McKaigue, O'Kane, Diver and Skinner were our best players. Our continued ploy of kicking ball to Gormley was not i imagine in the Cass gameplan, thiis has to be down to the players not executing instructions correctly.
Re the sending off, saw it on the telly there & it appeared to be minimal contact with a shoulder, in fact from what i seen it was Tommy McGuigan who knocked Cavanagh over by running into him after mcGuckin shouldered him, so i think it was a bit harsh tho K McG shouldn't have interfered with Cav at all.The rest of it was handbags, tho Penrose was throwing a shape.
Joe McMahon's injury resulted from him going down on the ball, think it was either Lynch or McGoldrick made contact but it appeared to be 2 men going for the ball. The Dooher injury resulted from a clash of heads with Barry McGuigan as they were shouldering each other, instigated by BmCG, after the ball had gone. BMcG also ended up with a gash high up on the side of his head from what i could see.
Can't see too many teams bricking it if they meet Derry in the qual's.

Ziggy if i thought for 1 minute you were a MOd and had anything to do with me getting banned last week i wouldn't be a bit happy...I still haven't took it to well from being banned, i got a raw deal for posting f**king Michael Jackson jokes on the board yet other people escaped such bans...infact their jokes refeering to "Niggers" are still on the thread. I'm not one for grassing people up (i'll leave that to the a**ho**s here who are into that) but mine warranted a warning (if that) and told to delete the jokes.
Mod3 keeps a close eye on me for some reason (under guidance from a certain w***er) I'll not forget that and when the times right and my opportunity arrises i will not hold back

Well they have more chance of being team of the century last century than this century. What Down carried out in the 60s Tyrone carried out in the 90s, it will be interesting will it take us another quarter century to add to the tally though.
In fairness there is a generally held view that Tyrone have been the team of the decade and there is also the view that Kerry have been, each and own to their own opinion. Its terrible how actually sticking up for Kerry can get you embroiled in an arguement. I would personally not like to put a time frame on it as theres no doubt the kingdom dominated football from 1995 - 2004 and from 2005 onwards itsundoubtedly been Tyrone, but theres a fair few years left.

Another famous public figure Mohandas Ghandhii has never been found guilty of incestuous pedophilia in the courts, but does that mean that people cannot consider well documented and undisputed facts regarding his life lead to the inescapable conclusion that he was not
always the saint that he has been cracked up to be. Would it be wrong to call Mohandas Gandhi a pedophile even though no court of law ever
convicted him of that? He has been given a lot of leeway.
Huh, where did that come from?
Have I missed something, or were their rumours about Ghandhi's personal life?

Am I the only one who thinks it not a little "curious" that GAA clubs happily rely on soccer and rugby clubs etc to organise GAA games etc, or permit GAA clubs to use/rent their facilities etc, yet there is a ban on GAA clubs returning the favour?
P.S. That was a strictly rhetorical question, designed to provoke thought not argument, and so does not require a reply.

Things I will NEVER do in my life as they grind my gears
- Read the Lions thread on the GAAboard, i dip in and out of most threads on the board but i assure u the Lions thread has never nor will ever be opened by myself.
- Watch the film Snakes on a plane- i refuse to watch this film, i consider myself a massive film buff and would watch nearly anything but this is a film i will NEVER watch
-Believe in the US Moon Landings- i just think it was faked no1 could convince me otherwise now.
-Smoke. Ive never tried it and never will. There is smokers in my house and i just hate it.

.
s work with Derry last year, anyway he also went for the managers job but didn't get it, didn't he?
I agree with all of the above, though I'm not as confident as you about the qualifiers ... The Derry record in the back door is abysmal to say the least.
I just raised the fitness thing as another question - but I agree McCusker, Muldoon & Doherty missing were factors - but the bigger question I have is over player selection like I said above ... Murphy, Brown, Lynn. I don't think I'm being unfair to suggest that most people would have known that half forward line and midfield wasn't going to compete with Tyrones, I don't see how Cassidy didn't.

Enda Mc Ginley was seriously annoyed when Barry Mc Guigan hit Dooher. Did anyone see it ?
McGuigan hit Dooher a box in the mouth after the 2 of them had been jostling.
