Plenty of talent in that PG1 team. Streets ahead of everyone else this year. Fair play to them.

Hope you have your Parades Comission form filled in BS?  ;D

Thanks. Hopefully we do you all proud at St Pauls. Once we leave Antrim we see where we stand in Ulster.

Think we wont be a mile away.

Duine Inteacht Eile

St Paul's are definitely up there with the best of the rest. PG1 miles ahead of everyone.

Ports a much better team last night and deserved winners.  They looked like an u21 team playing against u16s, 6 footers everywhere.  St Pauls couldnt handle them physically at all.

SaffronSports

Pg1 always expected to win that. Won it last year and only lost a couple and gained a very good one too.

Christmas Lights

St Pauls always seem to be able to produce good u16 and minor teams.  Always competing at the higher ends of grade 1 year in year out. What's their secret and why doesn't it translate more at senior football?

It's only this last few years really I thought? It is starting to come through a bit at senior as they're senior now. I would expect a good bit of improvement next few years.

Hoof Hearted

They won last year's u16 A championship so don't rule out a 3 in a row

More to the point why. If they are trying to have a blast at ulster minor I imagine their minors won't play. Maybe that's it.

bannside

The club focus is solely on the St Pauls tournament.

Has an Antrim team ever won this tournament?

imtommygunn

Ld have. Maybe a dozen ish years ago.

In fact st pauls I think maybe won the first.

BigGreenField

LD in 2010, at Paul's twice in the 80's.

Lamhs won a senior title with the spine of that side 5 years later, and never threatened again.

Minor success is no great gauge on future senior teams. I think Cargin won a couple of minors but their recent success at senior is backboned by players from before that time.
