Minor success is no great gauge on future senior teams. I think Cargin won a couple of minors but their recent success at senior is backboned by players from before that time.
They lost a final in a replay after that.

They did a mayo and gave the opposition a two goal head start and still nearly won that one too.

Rasharkin the first of our reps into ulster action this Sunday, away to Monaghan champions, St Brides and Endas have an extra week to prepare, any predictions ? Have any of them a chance of causing a shock?

bannside

No idea Saffs about quality of opposition, but good luck to both.

would fancy brides against clonduff or edendork based on the fact both teams haven't won it in X amount of years and st endas as well. not sure about the junior football not something i watch or care about......

Not something you watch would've done. Hopefully whatever club you're from continue to dine at the top table forever. Juvenile included

Monaghan champions usually tend to be strong at this level. I would expect that to be tough for them. St endas have a chance at doing well I think. St Brigids, Eden dork and clonduff all in same boat - depends on how much partying. We don't have a good record in ulster so whoever st brigids play would be strong favourites.

Agreed re Monaghan, think the game is in Clones as well which is a factor.

Endas in a position to win that game but Antrim intermediate is a bit of a false guide.

Edendork have the most talent out of the 3 in that boat, Clonduff the most time to prepare and probably a deeper squad. Brigids management do have provincial experience. Clonduff probably favourites at this stage on account of being off the beer.

How will brigids be set up for u21 with ulster on the horizon, do the lads involved still play?

I don't see any issue as their minor success of this year and last is largely underpinned by this years minor squad.

So good and all as that group are they would be green enough yet for coming up against the strongest U21 teams.

Might also be keen to get a run of competitive games ahead of Ulster minor so the B could give them that.

Lift Ulster minor and can then go at lifting U21 A in the next 2-3 years.

I'd imagine you won't be seeing any of the senior starters until Ulster is done.

Round or stuffed

they may do, and good luck to them, my question was around how do they balance the possibility of a title at ulster with being favourites for the u21 competition

Round or stuffed

I want to talk about Antrim football, in the Antrim football thread, would ask the same of Endas, and not sure if Rasharkin have an u21 team, I'd imagine not with the seniors out this weekend

Hectic

Rasharkin U21 don't start until Sunday week so crossover will only be a problem further along if they progress in both Ulster and U21.  I'd say they will be happy enough to have that problem.

St Endas have a tough start in the U21 Sunday and if they get past that they will hit a busy weekend after. Again, a good problem if it materialises.

Well done Ryan Doherty and Seamus McGarry for stopping a Belfast clean sweep on the Antrim All Star Football Team 2026.

Belfast rising?

Antrim will only rise when Belfast does.
