She's probably trying to pull a Trimble. Make a name for herself at Drumcree and spend the accrued political capital going for party leadership.

Agree. Although it's hard to have any sympathy for a bigot who described the residents as 'a rabble' and wants the PSNI to batter them off the road, just like the 'good old days', we should put the focus on her inner ugliness only.

She is an open goal for her views and her actions. By going for her appearance only lessens any argument against her and gives her capital to use.
Exactly. It's immature and counter productive

Armagh18

Deserves all the abuse she gets and no one should have a shred of sympathy, but it is counter productive as it allows her to play the victim.

Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if those shouting abuse were mates of Bryson though!

JPGJOHNNYG

She was on the radio earlier slamming the SDLP for hanging around with dissidents on the Garvaghy road yet has no problem being seen with UVF superfan Jamie Bryson all day long who condones their historical actions and justifies them as they were 'reactionary'  ;D

Giving abuse because of her appearance allows her to play the victim because she is the victim.

I am so so so so shocked that you of all people think that it's ok to abuse people because of their appearance.  ::)

He is handing out some arse-burning replies. Maybe he is on here? But this is what our politicians need to be calling out at every single opportunity.

Quote from: Snapchap on October 06, 2026, 01:54:21 PMMicheal Martin's cynical response to the Garvaghy Rd story has been so bitterly grounded in attacking SF that he's received praise support from Jamie f**king Bryson. Two columns today both going in hard on him over his attitude. Aoife Moore's is particularly good:

Martin is  no doubt loving this Garvaghy  situation as it further entrenches him and his party in  their  "there must be reconciliation before there's a border  poll" stance , as well as  having  continuous digs at SF

An absolute  cretin. How those slimy bastards continue to get  voted in is beyond me . No doubt when he waltzes  off into his cushy number in the IMF  or somewhere, his replacement  will carry on  in the same vein.

No need for name calling or on people's looks etc. Silly stuff and counter-productive.

Even calling for people to go the the court was unnecessary in my opinion.

Focus should be just on supporting the residents of the Garvaghy Road.

MM is a muppet but he can't be seen to be giving SF any credence at all in terms of the Garvaghy Road situation.

Hard to believe he's from rebel Cork.

This petition is impressive work.

Noel Gallagher, Susan  Sarandon, Adrian Dunbar and even Suggs  are with the Garvaghy Road residents.

Madness  playing on the back of a lorry on the Garvaghy Road  could  happen yet!

Quote from: gallsman on September 27, 2026, 03:08:51 PMf**k me, it is incredibly simple.

A5? Because the incompetent DfI fucked up and didn't tick the boxes it needed to.

Drumcree? Because the incompetent PC fucked up and didn't tick all the boxes it needed to.

Judges do not have the discretion to consciously choose to ignore the law because the outcome is a disgrace. Is it that difficult to comprehend?! But sure just you keep ranting and raving. That'll help.

Seems the DfI had all the boxes ticked.
