Quote from: DaleCooper on June 23, 2026, 11:44:54 AMIt will come down to how many of younger lads handle occasion. Cassidy looked excellent, Jordan was poor last day. McElholm was super last year but petered out in 2nd half.

Lets hope there are no howlers and they give it a good rattle.

It is our All Ireland final, no point pretending otherwise.

Not sure how much you can change at this stage, big McHugh maybe useful. Conn has to do his thing, more important out field

Kerry love the ball into square from 2.pt efforts, that tactic could work with big lads.

McHugh will have to be considered. Kerry had 4 recognised midfielders against Armagh. They want to dominate kickouts but if Tyrone start with a half forward line with O'Donnell and Daly we won't compete and could get annihilated.

O'Donnell was one of few bright sparks in our most recent meetings with Kerry. as for Daly I think he has really come along this year in particular and Malachy wont be moving him anywhere.

McHugh against Armagh did something I've seldom seen him do for the Fianna getting involved and actually winning ball. In all honesty I don't think there is a player there. I'd be more than happy for him to prove me wrong but I also don't want him to be thrown to the wolves in a game like this.

If he is to come good it'll be next year or two with plenty of McKenna cup and league minutes. Even saying that he would have to play like a man possessed to even be an option in last 15-20 for Conn or Brian.

Goin to buy juvenile and adult tickets for Saturday, will the release better seats during the week or should u just take what's on offer now?

Hold. Good tickets always released end of week. Initial rush gets rid of 90% of the crap tickets.

Going by last year there should be better adult/juvenile tickets released later in the week in the Cusack. Yesterdays release had mostly Canal End or the corners of Canal/Hogan or Canal/Cusack.

Quote from: ClubScene13 on June 23, 2026, 09:36:50 PMAgree with the sentiment here, think we can keep in a game up to half time anyway - Armagh never should have went in 6 down on Saturday, they were playing the better stuff for large spells and the second goal killed them. But when it really comes to the crunch, the difference in bench quality and 2 point threat will kill us. As poster above said, feels like Dublin 2018, might be able to keep it to 5 or 6 but probably never look like winning the game. Same as last year.  I hope I'm wrong but cannot see it!
Were they playing the better stuff though? They had the ball and didn't do much with it

You can interpret it whatever way you want, they kept the ball out of Kerry's hands for the majority of the first half and were extremely unlucky to go in 6 down

They held onto the ball, poorly might I add because when they eventually did cough up possession it ended in several of the 6 pts that Kerry led by at the break.

Armagh are not the team their fans believe they are.

Kerry won because they played/play football. Armagh lost because they held onto the ball.

I agree with you - my larger point was that Armagh were not getting blown away for 70 minutes as the final scoreline might suggest. So some reason for optimism.

We also hold onto the ball at an infuriating rate, which won't do against Kerry. How quickly they move it in comparison is night and day

Yes taking Kerry on in a shootout playing against the wind would have been advisable.

One thing I'd like to see is a ruthlessness if a goal opportunity is presented. Think this is the only way we'll take them, scoring at least 3 goals like 2021.

What's the chances of a curve ball to negate their wall in the half forward line?

Could we see Seanie O'D replaced with someone like Ben O'Donnell or Lorcan McGarity? Someone that might match up to and challenge them in the air?

tyrone08

Watching back the 2025 game against kerry. Tyrone werent too far away. We had 2 goal chances inside 20 mins and missed a heap of points over the game.

Issue is I don't think tyrone have improved too much since then. Still no direct approach or gameplan to work 2point scores.

My main gripe with management has been lack of playing style to suit our quick forwards. Scoring goals and 2 pointers has been an ongoing problem. We need to do both of these to win.

Heart saying we can do it, head saying we wont as we are stale this last few years.

Youtube has full game just search for it. On another day kerry have 6 goals. Ironically I would feel more confident with last years team Vs this Kerry.

Gavin White and O Shea were huge for them.

Need same mindset as Dubs against Donegal, they went direct fast and had a lot of joy. I dont mind being beaten so long as they do themselves justice

Goals_Will_Come

Donegal have shown twice if you throw a slap or two at them and get physical they lie down. Tyrone need to follow this mantra and also learn from Armagh's mistakes and go at them. Jordan's two point potential could be crucial for Tyrone. Fitness of Canavan also a big factor, even for squad depth. Teague on David Clifford, Devlin on Paudie Clifford, McKernan for O'Shea when he features, not sure what the plan for Joe O'Connor would be.

Don't really see any evidence of that to be honest. Kerry are well able to mix it and stand up for themselves.
