The UK Labour Party

Recent leaders have been very weak within  2 years of  election eg Truss, Sunak, now Starmer and Trimp. The people elect them and they work for the rich. In the UK 50 families are as rich as 34 million people.

All this only underlines the frailty of Starmer's, and Labour's, position. The party's ruling circle are increasingly taking decisions on the basis of trying to save the prime minister's job. Eighteen months after winning a resounding electoral majority, Starmer's flailing performance has made him the least popular premier in memory.

Starmer's allies insist polls are volatile and can swing back in Labour's favour when voters face a choice at the next election. They also claim that social media has amplified public discontent in all democracies and shortened the "half-life" of leaders' popularity

"There's a rising tide of inchoate rage. The idea that Keir Starmer is worse than Boris Johnson or Liz Truss is nuts. Something is going on with the electorate."

There's been a major backlash against Trump among Latinos. His net approval is down over 20 pts from a year ago. His net approval on his deportation program is down over 30 pts from a year ago. Re midterms: Cong Dems are doing ~15 pts better than Harris did with Latinos

The great English unwashed have spoken: let's replace 2 lots of failed politicians with just the 1 lot of spivs, racists & charlatans. Just watch the Reform snouts being dipped, very deeply into the various local council troughs. It will all go pear-shaped, very quickly.

They'll just blame Starmer and the government like always.

Yeah this could actually be a good thing. Put them in these positions to see what they really are and maybe that will show their true colours before election.

Hopefully...

Could Reform not just try to parrot Sinn Féin's "the Brits won't give us any more money" line & get away with it?

Thr boats don't nean anything. They are just a culture war

It's getting funny now. Starmer thinks that by resurrecting Gordon Brown & Harriet Harman, that will be enough to save his neck. He clearly has zero comprehension of what's going on around him.

It's some spin to blame Labour for all the ills the uk has when you had 18 years of the Tories

It's not been a great period for Labour

Popcorn at the ready when the next group in blame Labour, raise taxes and let more people in, rinse repeat

The Whigs need to step up & accept their share of the blame.

Seen a good one the other day- Starmer could copy and paste the Reform manifesto and that right wing Reform vote still wouldn't look at him.

He'd be safer trying to appeal to the decent people or Labour will be pulled apart from both sides.

The main problem is that Farage makes all the right noises, that get the thicko, yobbo, braindead, moronic, St. George's Cross waving little Englanders salivating & voting for him. Whilst he can certainly identify what their gripes are, he isn't so good on the important detail of what he will do about it all, if he gets into a position to do so. But, that's not really a key concern, to his core vote, so Farage gets an easy ride. The middle ground of "decent people" seems to have virtually disappeared, in the UK. Turnout keeps on declining at UK elections, people are giving up on the political system, out of sheer frustration & that leaves it easier for Farage to get his vote out & make it look like he's mopping up.

By some of these comments you'd nearly think Starmer was doing a good job. Britain's taxation levels are at 60 year high yet services continue to crumble. That's on him. Labour have been in power for 2 years with a massive majority and in that time have achieved sweet f**k all.

Nothing to do with "decent people" or "blaming Starmer". He has quite clearly led a useless government.

He's hopeless and a complete p***k, but still better than Farage. The only sliver of hope you'd have is if Farage looked at the cost of funding the North he'd maybe try and get rid of us
