"Injured duo Matthew Downey and Dan Higgins miss out". In the Gaelic Life article naming the panel

Strong team, cannot see McEvoy playing at midfield, but I also cannot see anyone from 2 to 8 who can go into the forward line to bring Glass back from centre half forward.
Does anyone know when we last won a championship match at fortress Celtic Park? (Maybe the name change will find us getting better results)

Going with a very strong team for playing Antrim, i thought they try a couple of changes.forwards on the bench havent had much game time.Think u need Glass up to strengthen the forwards line. Besides long range kickouts go the length of the half forwards.

A stress free Ulster championship win at home under a blue sky, not often that happens so we'll take it.

Comfortable enough game, on another day the goals column would have looked completely different. Wouldn't read anything into today's performance but Murray looked sharp. McGuigan doesn't look at full confidence but hopefully today's tally will help him. Never really got out of second game and no obvious injury concerns so we will take that and move on

I think the most important thing for Derry today, apart from the win, was no injuries, hopefully.

Important to move on to the Cavan/Monaghan game with a clean bill of health.

A few lads on bench got a run out as well as a chance to work on Derry's own and opposition kick outs.

So a good day for Derry. Park it and move on.

Weird the stories focused on soccer.

Does anyone know why we keep posting about Limavady United? Are Coleraine going to get a mention? Magherafelt Sky blues. Maghera Strollers, Draperstown Celtic.

Or heres an option, stick to GAA!!

"The Derry manager revealed that players not involved on Saturday night would be released for club games on Sunday to provide invaluable game-time and keep the panel sharp". Excellent

Meenagh said Dan Higgins still faces a race against time with a hamstring injury while Matthew Downey should be back in contention.

Goalkeeper Odhrán Lynch is "getting up through the gears" and will soon come back into the picture

Exactly my point, Limavady United get more mentions than the Wolfhounds! Soccer is a massive challenge for the GAA club in the town, a town which the county needs to start pulling its weight for the greater good of North Derry GAA

Thought it was a comfortable game which we all expected really against a Division 4 team. Great to see Clucky and McEvoy get some much needed game time under their belts. As others have alluded to it was important to not pick up any injuries and move on to more challenging games ahead.

It does feel like we are building nicely though, especially squad wise. Forbes has been a good addition. Shea Downey is a decent option off the bench. Toner always has the potential to score a point or two. Niall O'Donnell can offer something. With big Dan Higgins to come back Ulster has to be the target. The All Ireland series will take care of itself.

On a side note is Scullion still nursing a knock or is McGuckin now first choice? McGuckin has been solid enough to be fair to him.

GTP

That looked like the first choice 15 that started yesterday. The only changes might be for tactical reasons and you would be confident enough that anyone coming in wouldn't weaken the team.
On yesterday's game hopefully E Doherty finds his shooting boots and the defence finds a way to tighten up on preventing 2 pointers.
Still not convinced by the early start for the championship.
