He is some player. Having him on the pitch means opponents need to focus on more than McGuigan and it frees up the whole attacking side of our game. I love how when he stands up a man you just know he's going past him. If only he could stay fit.

Quote from: screenexile on March 01, 2026, 03:01:07 PMLads that was some performance!! Good momentum with us at the minute Louth away will be a good test as well.

It was great now, could possibly have been home and hosed at half the amount of chances that we created
Doubt they'll have been a performance across all leagues today to match Niall Loughlin's... Inspirational display
The overall work rate was 10/10

Derry now in their groove. Could the win Ulster? League promotion always expected but C'ship success would not.

Lads yesterday was our best performance since Dublin League final, played the first half brilliantly that was an incredible wind. Complete performance couldnt say anyone didnt do well even the subs who came on.

Promotion in our hands and its hard to see us not getting to an ulster final, lets push on, get behind this team and hopefully we are in for a long summer

Great team effort yesterday - that catch of Dan Higgins after he came on, pure magic.

Anyone see Meenagh going absolutely nuts at one of the coaching staff in the 2nd half who was positioned around the 45 yard line at the changing room end?

From what I saw/heard it was something to do with not getting our players in the right positions to stop the Cork players receiving the short kick out too easily.

Derry were winning fairly comfortably at that stage but I thought it was great to see that there was no let up from Meenagh. First time I've ever seen him fuming on the sideline.

Him, Barrett and Chrissy all had melt downs when the press wasn't set up quick enough

Speaking on Higgins, has he grew or something? He made the number 8 from Cork look small standing side by side

I think we should be very disappointed if we don't reach an Ulster final given the draw & the form of Monaghan & Cavan. Big game next week but still expect promotion regardless of result, great to have the buzz back around the county team

Higgins a monster, could be a mobile Brian McGilligan. The other lad gonna fill out into a big lad too, about the same height.

Maghera was Black

Couple of wee take aways from yesterday, it seems like McKinless has been handed the old Chrissy McKaigue role of being the nominated man marker for the opposition key forward in the full back line which might mean not as many big defence splitting runs we were customed to seeing from him before his ACL injury. Forbes seems to have a transition role linking defence and attack and could well be a major find for us he looks like a Rolls Royce player striding forward with the ball a proper athlete with footballing skills. Eoin McEvoy and James Sargent don't look that far away from returning both being put through their paces and moving great while taking part in a bit of the pre-match training. McEvoy will need match sharpness before Championship so we might just see him against Cavan in the last round. CD and Paudie McGrogan are playing out of their skins at the moment both are fully committed and driving us on they are key to our kickouts with and without the ball, when them two lads are on it Derry are motoring well.

2,800 hardly fit for a county game. I presume it's all intentional by Louth. Won't be many Derry fans at it.

Had thought it might be a bit bigger around the 5k mark. In fairness, I don't think it is any more than that's what they have at their disposal. They've played all their home games for a while there. They are developing a new county ground, but it'll be a year or two yet before that is open. Prob wouldn't have been that many years ago, it'd have held a Derry game there with no issue.
