Is McGurk injured! Cant understand Doherty leaving when he played rightly last week.

I agree with Zapped in a way in that it'll be about 22 players - other 12/14 players are in filling space for 15 V 15 in house games. 5 or 6 players will be injured like Murray and Mc Evoy while lads like Rogers, Glass and Doherty are ever present.

In theory, No. 34 should be pushing the first 15 players for a place and theory is all well and good but it doesn't happen. Sometimes lads are brought in to get them experience and into the 'county set up' and they're happy with that for a year or two.

How many are pushing for Armagh, Donegal,Galway,? alot more than that. There men playing for Armagh, Galway and Donegal that had to do 2/3 yrs in the bench before making their mark. We have men getting game time leaving. Learned against Galway 2022, or we should have, that a small panel doesnt cut it.

Point being every county team has a panel of 34 or 35. But the 'real' panel is about 22. I think that the match day named panel is 26?

If you're there for 3 years, even if you're 23 or 24 years old and you're still No. 32 in the pecking order, you should be asking the question of yourself.

Now in my opinion there should be a rule that No.'s 24 - 34 on an inter-county panel ahould be allowed to play club gmes for their clubs. Benefits everyone.

Youd think this would be common sense, keeps clubs and the players happier, fellas who mightnt play a match for 6 months but doing all the training

He is some player. Having him on the pitch means opponents need to focus on more than McGuigan and it frees up the whole attacking side of our game. I love how when he stands up a man you just know he's going past him. If only he could stay fit.

Lads yesterday was our best performance since Dublin League final, played the first half brilliantly that was an incredible wind. Complete performance couldnt say anyone didnt do well even the subs who came on.

Anyone see Meenagh going absolutely nuts at one of the coaching staff in the 2nd half who was positioned around the 45 yard line at the changing room end?

From what I saw/heard it was something to do with not getting our players in the right positions to stop the Cork players receiving the short kick out too easily.

Derry were winning fairly comfortably at that stage but I thought it was great to see that there was no let up from Meenagh. First time I've ever seen him fuming on the sideline.

Speaking on Higgins, has he grew or something? He made the number 8 from Cork look small standing side by side
