Good to get a break back this year, was poor form last year not having a holiday break in an amateur sport.
Not confirmed. Out to clubs for consideration. Mixed opinion on it from clubs. Lot of opposition from East Tyrone clubs.

When will it be confirmed? Asking for a friend

One representative of an east Tyrone club spoke out against it. Hardly equates to 'lot of opposition'. Don't let the truth get in the way of a good soundbite.
Has gone out to all the clubs to decide.

Quote from: Knock Yer Mucker In on January 22, 2026, 03:20:37 PMWhy would anyone be against it?

2 separate breaks would give players more options for booking.

As stated earlier.. is a whole load of engineering works which is the big  employer, take their holidays: end of July - start of August.

2 separate 1 x week breaks would be better

May start for the leagues then?
When's the pre-season cups starting?

Early enough then if league not until May. Wonder if many teams are back on the pitch yet?

Are those pre-season competitions definitely on this year? I could of swore I read somewhere they're not but I could be mistaken, entirely possible they are on in March

Groups came out during the week. 1st Round 15th March, 2nd 21st March and last group game 28th March. Top team in each group into Jim Devlin, Second place into Frank O'Neill, bottom teams out.

7 starred round provisionally down to start on 22nd May if Tyrone U20s reach final - brought forward if U20s exit Championship earlier. These games are worth two points for a win.
8 games with county players confirmed to be worth three points.
Holiday period 4th July to 16th July.
Reserve Championship - 17th July.

Cheers for that. No easy task sorting all that out but 22nd May is crazy

Conroy perhaps the only out and out forward (but not sure malachy fancies him) - the likes of seanie and cathal Donaghy also but not really score getters. Why have we not looked to include some others even to the squad at this stage. The free we missed late on in the game is a tap over free for a lefty. What about Tiarnan Quinn, Conor Owens. Thats the top two I can think of, is there any others out there. The left footed forwards we have had have been few and far between since Stevie:

Darren McCurry

Funny how someone called Carmen4Life wouldn't remember Danny Fullerton.

Maybe change that name to Beragh4Life

I purposely didn't allow for Danny as he isn't a viable option due to his current injury, but great observations, ive added him and posted on the correct forum now also. Thanks 'In Hiding'
