Tevez strike me as a loyal sort of lad who is not motivated primarily by money so I think that Sun story in pie in the sky.

I just hope it gets sorted out and he stays. I wouldn't take Benzema over Tevez, especially if Tevez ends up at one of Uniteds main rivals.

Yeah because Joorbachian is a real nice guy and only interested in what's best for Tevez :D

Hell slap it up them down the south, they've been robbing people for years. Did anyone seriously think the tiger would last ?
There is a culture that exists in the south to "put the arm" in when they can. What goes around comes around.
Can believe what they are paying out on dole money. For christ sake cut it in half and get people looking for work or looking to foreign shores again.
when the dust settles, people will realise that  while they might not have it as good as a couple of years ago, they mostly still 'have it good'

ok not everyone was a beneficiary of the boom years, but they use the improved roads and tech that have now become commonplace in Ireland.the legacy of the celtic tiger was to leave Ireland and its industries in a far better place than where it came from 20 -30 years ago - without doubt.

the bottom line on the food purchasing question - its not a question of patriotism, more a question of better health.
Its known that the cheaper end of products are most def not as nutritious or as healthy as the slightly more exp options.
So not for me about being patriotic (this is a welcome by-product) its about healthier eating (ok before ss2 steps in, I still wolf down as much rubbish/chips/choc and coca cola to sink a ship)

It's not as if they are replacing the good stuff on the shevles with Tesco's dung brand. It doesn't matter where the produce is sourced from, they all go through the same quality control processes. Also I believe there is no evidence to say, for example, organic is more nutrious or healthy (I buy organic but I don't pay for my food and am a food snob  :P) than non-organic. For me it's about what tastes better. Although I can't believe battery farmed chicken's could be good for anyone.

By the way i'm not taking about processed food, that is pure dung whichever side of the border you are on.

One of them claimed to have his moat cleaned???? FFS thats just ridiculous!! Its hard to know which is the most galling - these big expenses or the small expenses like light bulbs - they have such disregard for tax payers money that they wont even put their hand in  their pockets for a bit of change to buy new light bulbs - unbelievable! It makes you wonder - if they are so bliase with taxpayers money on these issues how the hell are they going to use it to run the country!

I bill back list bulbs and little stuff like that to my company ;D  Although I haven't needed the moat cleaned yet and I'm quite happy with the chandelier.

Thats fair enough - but its not tax payers money! I for one have to get the wetsuit on and clean my own moat out!!!  :P

How do you know I don't spend taxpayers money  ;)

The issue is really that they are using the living allowances to pay mortgage's on second homes and then selling them on for profit. I personally have no problem with an MP using taxpayer money for the upkeep/cleaning of rented accommodation (light bulbs etc... within reason) but I do have when they own the property. Expenses are there to compensate you for living away from home and to make sure your not out of pocket. They are not for supplementing your income as a number of MP's appear to think.

Tevez made his bed when he sold ownership of himself to Joorbachian who doesnt care if Tevez ends up playing football in Qatar provided the money is right.  Yes I'd love to see him stay but £30M is too much even tho we've already paid 10 of it.  Problem is Joorbachain already has pocketed £10M and knows he will probably get £15M-£20M elsewhere rather than take any cut on the £20M outstanding.

The United fans love him and no doubt Fergie likes his work rate and commitment.   However his "owners" are saying that the £30M, agreed during a boom, is non-negotiable even tho we are in the worst recession in a lifetime.   Everything is negotiable.    Tevez and Joorbachain are holding out for the big shop window of the CL final, where a mighty performance will strenghten their position.  A player who has no control over his own future is not good for football.

He has even less control if he was under contract and wanted to leave to go to Liverpool or Chelsea for example, there is no way United would sell to those clubs.

Hmmm, dunno he can leave for free or buy out the last year of his contract at a club, that doesn't seem to be the case with MSI. What is the deal with Joorbachain, does it not run for a defined period of time?

Bigfella, although this seems to be a reasonable argument by the Sun, I can't see Carlos walking away from his agreement with Joorbachian/MSI.  He has stated on many occasions that he is a good frien of Joorbachian and sees him as a father figure.  Judging by his comments at the weekend, he doesn't view fergie in the same way.

Maybe so but if Utd waved a big bit of cash under his nose, I wonder how loyal he would be? He wouldn't be the first premier league footballer to be tempted by a big wad of cash. I would take all comments or articles in the tabloids with a pinch of salt personally, do you think if Ferguson thought he was having a go he would have played on Sunday? Paul Merson (on Sky Sports) reckons Ferguson would not cut his nose off by not using him (or getting rid) but i'm not so sure, Ferguson can be prone to some head staggers at times.

David Cameron accused the mps who have been exposed in recent days for claiming money that they were not entitled to were"abusing tax payers money". Maybe it is the way I was brought up but "abusing" is not the term that colmes to mind I think steaing tax payers money would have been more approtpriate. One MP apparently claimed for hanging a chandalier in his house.

People, glass houses and all that. I believe Cameron has been eat his words over the last few days in between his Labour witch hunt. While no doubt there has been lots of abuse of the system, I have to wonder who has been approving these expenses or if any internal review process exists?

This Tevez thing has gone beyond a joke. If they don't sign him up its simply because United do not have the money becasue they have to pay 50 odd million a year in loan interest for the gimps. There is no other reason.

Or maybe they want Benzema instead.

If you believe that they don't want Tevez you are way out.

Maybe they do want him but just don't want to pay. IMHO opinion this makes more sense that the financial nonsense being talked about.

Tescos were doing cases of Magners there a week or so ago for £7, some job, I got four just to tide me over...

Check to see what offers are on first...
Shouldn't you have been informing us of this when the offer was still?! See all the cider companies are really hard selling pear cider. Anyone tried it, or is it for the ladies?

Kopparberg has been around for ages - the pear is rocket fuel and very easy drunk.

It's impossible to enforce the budget cap. They say it doesn't apply to corporate hospitality but can you imagine the amount teams being creative with the accounts. 2 grand for a cup of coffe you say?  ;)

Avoid Newry to many tail backs in car parks.
I went about ten miles further on to the Sprucefield shopping place near Lisburn and there is a Sainsburys there too with no traffic at all hardly..
The drink is very cheap..

It's about 30 miles  ;)

where would the cheapest off-licence be?

Stay away from Tesco's, you wouldn't want to bring down the Republic.

Do they work on the DSi???

Where's the best place to download the games?

Not sure, one on the main drivers behind the DSi was to try and stop these cards from working. I suspect lots of the makers of these cards are already updating their cards/firmware to work.

Try the Cyclo DS evolution. They are usually quite good at updating their firmware
