Any advice for Sunday for my first trip to Clones for parking. Driving up from Dublin. Don't mind walking a good few kms.

Head up by N2 and cut across @ Castleblayney to Ballybay-Newbliss Clones. You will get parked at Largy college or keep on in turn right after the Garda station and there's a big yard for parking on your left. That'll leave you 7-10mins from the pitch. Have the tax-free €5 ready

By the sounds of it, many of the Westmeath team will be traveling to Clones in ambulances, on day release from the intensive ward, others will be swinging in the gates on crutches, removing their casts in the dressing room. It's now up to 1,200 minutes of championship football having been played, not sure if that includes the 5 or 6 extra time periods or not.

Rumour has it TR Dallas has been drafted in to the standby panel to cover corner back.... Westmeath have played the media perfectly. Monaghan's Achilles heel is complacency when favourites and McHugh has set the trap. Expect to see Ray Connellan togged out and Westmeath  giving it one last, glorious pyrrhic push. Ray Connellan injured his ankle on the 2nd half throw in last weekend and struggled to put weight on that ankle when he walked off the field a few minutes later. Putting him on the bench Sunday would be as silly as Roscommon did with a injured Enda Smith.

Reminded me of similar experience when I used a well known spot outside croker in some dodgy estate [near a pentecostal hall] and the guys were looking money when cars were leaving.

But we had spent so much time in bar by time we came back the "stewards" had gone home.
