Well done Monaghan a real memorable comeback win.

As for Derry, failed to gain promotion back to Division one and now have failed to reach the Ulster final they simply haven't recovered from losing every league and championship game last year.

It's a Rory beggan world and the rest of us are just living in it. Willpower and composure from Monaghan, Derry have let thst one away.

Holy God, I enjoyed that. Rory Beggan nerves of steel.

WTF??

Was footering around in the garden, keeping an eye on scores, but saw Derry miles ahead and figured that was it!

Well done Monaghan!

Ulster final now after a tough league campaign!

Against Beggan dpn't foul around there. A bit of tight marking and Derry could have run the clock down.

Class stuff. Monaghan are hardy boys. Derry haven't shook that soft underbelly (they temporarily lost under RG). Great viewing.

Armagh Girl

Well done Monaghan what a game!

It's a long time since I saw a player bounce it straight into an opponents chest!

Main Street

Under normal circumstances those celebrations would be OTT but it was all about getting back into the game from being certifiably dead and buried to winning it spectacularly  at the death.

I thought it noteworthy that both sets of players when competing to field the ball did not ram into the back of an opponent to slap/fist the ball away, most every fielding 'event' was a joy to watch, a throwback to the golden days of midfielder competition.

Bobby McCaul should have had a 45 5 mins before full time and also got an extremely harsh free given against him with 2 mins to go for a light push

It was a 45 alright but the push was fairly obvious. A clear score from Paul Cassidy was waved wide in the second half too. Officiating was messy in general.

Haha unlucky lad

No not at all. Derry got what they deserved today. Very wasteful when on top and kept Monaghan alive. Cant run up that many wides and expect to win. Fair play to Beggan, also a word for Dessie Ward.

Just saw McCarran's point at the end of normal time.

Holy f**k!!

Derry no one to blame but themselves, their own fault with decision making and lack of ruthlessness when the game was there to be won convincingly.  The foul at the end was naive also knowing who your playing and who was going to be kicking it. Well done to Monaghan that will do the newer members of their panel the world of good. Deserve immense credit to get Ulster final given the league they had.

Only seen ET but thought Mooney was sore on Derry same way he was sore on Tyrone v Armagh. Thought it was a soft enough free at the end for Monaghan.
