Half-time in extra time Derry 3-20 Monaghan 1-24.  Wide count Derry 14 Monaghan 10.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

I'm sure the Milltown lad knows the rules

Two points are scored when the ball is played over the crossbar between the posts (whether from a free
kick, Solo and Go, or from general play), having been kicked by a player who has at least one foot on or
outside the 40m arc, provided no other player from that player's team has touched the ball.
Exception - when the ball is played over the crossbar between the posts from a 45, one point is awarded.

Brutal defending. Crazy stuff giving that away. Some spectacle

Main Street

That hit the sweet spot, delighted for the team and the hard ássed fans, nearly as good as an Ulster final win.

Sweet mother of god what a game hahahaha

Stickittotheman

Congrats to Monaghan but we threw it away. Lot of soul searching needed after that.

Schkite

Holy god, the balls on the pair of Scotstown lads at the end of normal and extra time. Crazy

We were absolutely brutal for majority of the match, barely lay a hand on Derry but their wastefulness gave us just a glimmer of hope. Still had a big gap to make up but some lads really stood up to be counted and didn't shy away. Despite the many legends that have retired in recent years, there are still plenty of leaders in that squad

Serious questions to be asked of how Derry lost that game but what a game of football.

Fair play Monaghan they deserved it!

cavanmaniac

That was astonishing by Monaghan, kudos to them! Equally astonishing was some of the Derry errors when they had a grip on the game they should not have relinquished, more than once.
