Went to school in St. Pat's, Armagh so goes down as an Armagh win.

weareros

A sensational win. Some effort on the last lap. Congrats Daniel Wiffen.

Bogman

Does it matter! He is swimming for Ireland.

Could be a great Olympics this if Kellie Harrington and the rowing boys from Cork also win Gold.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed

gallsman

Brilliant stuff! Absolutely nailed his tactics.

Dunno. The ones on RTE and other media saying Armagh 🤷... anyway Ireland!

He was also born in Leeds so we can put it down as a GB win too

It doesn't matter but I was just wondering as I wasn't sure...

Ninth Olympic gold for Ireland ever.

He really did. Not that I know anything much, but that was a very tactical race.

I know nothing about swimming but I did pick up on the commentator saying that he hadn't started using his legs. He was saving them for the last 2 lengths and what a difference it made. Fantastic stuff

jcpen

We have won 12 Gold medals including that one tonight.
SHOCKING REVELATIONS!!!

I think 10th gold medallist for 12 gold medals but the rowing chaps maybe count as 1?  Or 9 if we are discounting Michelle Smyth). I'm sure somebody can look up the facts  ;D

Edit: Well done jcpen.

'll take the number inlcuding Smith. When the likes of Flo Jo, Lewis, Christie etc start having theirs rescinded they can take them off Smith. Until then they stand as far as I'm concerned. Yes there's a smell of whiskey off them but she is far from alone.

Took a bit of hoking to find your post but yes the medals table would be a lot lighter if all the drugs cheats were thinned out.
