Tough opening for a young killdress team in the rahillys reserves conceded 1-20 seniors conceded 3-15...... good start for the rahillys tougher times ahead!!!

Out of the 15 that started the intermediate final last year there was only 5 involved yesterday. Its gonna be a VERY tough year for the Tones! The lads will give it there all though!!

is that down to injuries or retirements or immigration or what?
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Newtownstewart only team in Division 3 that has recorded two wins. Kevin Gallagher, Ryan Mayse and Rory Gallagher were key for Newtown. Was 0-7 each at half time with Mark Bogue and Dara Kavanagh doing all of Clogher's scoring. Second half was tight affair as well with Kevin Gallagher kicked two vital points when game was in the melting pot. Ref was extermelly poor overall. Sent of a Newtown man very harshly and then followed up by doing the same to a Clogher man. Strange. Suppose in the bottom divison you are going to get the worst refs. Good game to view but there was a spell in second half of about 12 minutes where there wasn't a score.

Club Rossa

Poor performance from Ardboe yesterday,Greencastle were hard to shake off.Kyle Coney was carried off in agony with a groin injury and looks like he will be out for some time.

Prehaps you've under estimated Greencastle.

Tyrone Gaa

Moy and Cookstown recorded impressive wins yesterday, they sent a message to the rest of the league. Pomeroy also had a good win this is a tough division to call.  What happened Galbally and Gortin? Expected tight games here
Living the dream!!!

A mixture of all - immigration has been a problem year on year this last while whilst some are studying in england others working in england/scotland and to make things worse there are quite a few injuries. A team like ourselves need everyone at their disposal.

The Trap

I dont think IMMIGRATION has been a problem - unless its because the foreigners are taking all our jobs :)........
Fairly low key start to league, think there are going to be BIG problems for the GAA in the foreseeable future with lots of clubs going under due to lack of numbers/interest...........

Def will be problems. It takes serious money to run a club these days and fund raising is getting harder and harder. Sponsers and local business are struggling and lottos and such are loosing out. I expect to see some clubs go out of existance due to money issues but I hope I am wrong.

Yeah coming up from intermediate hard enough without loosing numbers like that..........rahillys also missing i think 9 i counted who featured in senior final last year........most clubs seem to have number problems this year.....

Club Rossa

Ziggy,no disrespect to Greencastle, but the Ardboe team that lined out yesterday should have been winning more comfortably against a team that was missing 3 of their best players.

They were too afriad to leave the halfway line as they'd be accused of not having the commitment, struggled when the ball went over the top  ;)

Interesting results from Pomeroy, a big win for both reserves and seniors, looks like the promise shown by recent underage teams is starting to show through, not a good start for Galbally

Pomeroy notoriously start the league well every year but seem to crumble and fade away mid-late season for some strange reason?  Always have a great panel of players on paper but always expect them to do better.  Very position result away from them yesterday.
