Pomeroy surely has to be looked at as a venue, great facilities but the fact there is always a gale force wind destroys games. Don't get me wrong the game today was entertaining but when your against the wind it's just a case of damage limitations.

Are we actually excusing that implosion by donaghmore on the weather? Have they never played with a wind blowing?

Sure we will bring the replay inside and the boys will be nice and warm and wont get dirty ffs.

In any case Donaghmore should have been home and hosed. There was serious breeze and the flares set off by carmens youth brigade left smoke over pitch into the stand.

Referees in this county are an absolute disgrace. Look at the line up of idiots doing games this weekend! It has started off tonight there with a horror show from Loughran lets see if any of the rest of them can top that. It would take something special because thats as bad a display as I have ever seen.

Yet again after a Tyrone SFC game the spotlight is hogged by the performance of the referee. Anybody who knows anything knows that Forbes is a terrible official & nowhere near the level that such a game requires.

The real problem here is who is actually appointing these officials? Nobody can tell me that a committee of people look at these fixtures & decide that x,y, or z are suitable to ref c'ship games. This stinks of Shane dorrity rewarding his cronies, ala sparky getting last yrs final.

Not good enough for players or managers at this time of year.

Lets just forget refs for a day in this forum... teams have 60 plus mins to get it right!! Small margins in the heat of championship battle and that's why we love it!!

This should be a platform for us gaels to question the prices of automated tickets that the great people that have went before us struggle to get.... the price of Tyrone TV that alot cant afford. We can have the craic on here but we are being seriously fleeced by the hierarchy of our county board, that truth be told.. wouldn't know if it was pumped of stuffed!!

The short sightedness of people is unbelievable.  There isn't exactly a queue of people wanting to referee our games. Why would they with the absolute abuse you get?

We all respect the knock out format but a seeding system for first round wouldn't be a bad idea. Dromore v Carrickmore was too big a game for Round 1 and a team with genuine ambitions to win it was dumped out as no round robin.

Is it really? A seeded first round based on say league position could possibly help in preventing games being thrown which happened this year after removing the top 4 playoffs.
