Deserved second goal for Ecuador. Hope they hold on. This would be one the Scots were banking on Germans to draw/win.

Turned out to be a good game. Well done Ecuador and their manager, Howard Jones.

Brilliant stuff and thoroughly deserved. Caicedo has always been an engine but Christ there are nearly an entire team of them. Serious effort.

Bad result for the Scots alright.

As it stands now, Group E is a hellish group. out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Position 1 : As it stands Netherlands will play Morocco
Position 2 : As it stands Japan will play Brazil
Position 3 : As it stands Sweden will play France

Thoroughly enjoyable tournament so far, apart from the hydration breaks.

Have you watched much of it?

As I thought would be the case I have only seen bits and pieces of the group stages and a few highlights here and there. I'd imagine when we get into the last 32/last 16 I'll be more glued to it. Shaping up to have some good last 16 matches as it stands - Spain/Portugal & France/Germany.

Scotland should get the flights booked home. More or less gone at this stage barring a miracle.

Definitely have enjoyed some of the games. The madness you get with south american fans is great too.

Love the norwegian thing they do with the drum as well.

I think it was 42% after their game.....now, after last night, down to 5%.

Pack the bags.

The highlight service on bbc iplayer is good, 10/12 minutes of the games best bits, for those games after bed time

Scotland could yet make it

Some (at least two) of these  results need  to go for them , which aren't  that unlikely

Spain to beat Uruguay
Egypt to beat Iran
Austria to beat Algeria by 2+
Senegal failing to beat Iraq
DR Congo fail to beat Uzbekistan

Mad to think a team  who played so poorly could still  advance.  Although their  fans have at least been entertaining

An Watcher

Good riddance to Scotland and their fans
No love for either although thst could be sour grapes as to them being there and we're not
