Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Commentators realise added time is a minimum? Like there was 3 breaks in play after the added time was shown, that's always going to be added on on top of what was given, surely that's not hard to understand

Milltown Row2

Not that he'd have scored from back there but Cork can have no complaints about the timing, an extra minute of extra time, they tried to work it and the ref blew them up

Have Cork become even bigger pricks since Ben O'Connor took over?  ;D

Duine Inteacht Eile

Did the shot go over?

It was well over 5 minutes when Cork got last free. Can't have any complaints. Exciting finish. Limerick with elements always looked likely winner.

Great game in the end (even if not technically brilliant).

Not entirely sure what Cork's approach was for the last play, as it seemed more appropriate to blast it in. The extra touch (which made sense) possibly meant if it dropped short it was over.

By applying the rules?

Common sense incoming.

He did make mistakes but blowing for the spare arm tackles wasn't one of them.

Fair play to Ben O'Connor he didn't go at Owens after the final whistle.

Collins didn't fancy the long range shot.  Injury time was was well over when that free was awarded.

Owen's has normally let things go, but always pressure on them to 'let it flow' but also from HQ's to stick to the rules..

Cork won't be going away they'll move through the next game and be back in the final

Cian lynch spoke very well there

Personally I feel like hurling has become way too tactical.
The weather and the ref did not help , but I thought the game today was pure shite.
Thought to watch IMO and I am a neutral.

Wouldn't go as far as pure shite, but definitely not a great game, and has been a poor munster championship overall.
Hopefully it explodes into life from semi finals on

BOC doing a fair bit of whinging about the ref but I think he can have no real complaints.

One of the cork points in 1st half was fiercely contested - the body language of the limerick players suggested it was wide and that is normally a good gauge.

He could have given limerick a penalty for a very similar challenge to the one he gave against Kyle hayes.

Questionable over carrying for the cork goal from play

And finally, even if they had been told it was the last shot at the end, the keeper was never making it anyway.
