Quote from: Norm-Peterson on April 27, 2026, 10:56:49 AMI don't think I even want to go to the Ulster final if it's going to be Derry v Armagh.
Those big Armagh games are essentially just big student parties. At the 2023 final the hill was full of young women covered in make up and wearing skimpy outfits who spent the full game flirting with the young men with bowl hair cuts.
If I have to stand on the hill with Armagh fans again I would rather not go at all.
Cry more.

There is unfortunately a LARGE group of Armagh fans who love to treat these games as an excuse to get drunk and act the fool. Moreso than any other county.
I blame all the headers from Lurgan. I can't say it annoys me that much. We were all young once.

Yep. And Lurgan doesn't count as Armagh anyway. (Except the good players :D)

As someone who has no great love for this DnG team I'd have to say....that was clearly not a square ball. DnG can feel very hard done by having that ruled out

Dayman

Pretty sure the guy who passed it carried it over the line beforehand, the umpire waved it wide immediately. Seeing the replay it was certainly tight.

gallsman

Yes, was called wide, albeit it didn't look to be from the angles they had. Umpire obviously in a good position and was clearly looking at it though. Would have academic anyway

Would love to see the stats on this, as there is no way that that is a throwaway comment based on any particular dislike of Armagh.

The thought of it makes my blood run cold.

She was soon told where to go
Armagh need to nip this in the bud on Sunday

Quote from: bennydorano on April 27, 2026, 03:46:32 PMIt'll be interesting to see some of the match ups in Armagh v Down. I could see Ciaran Mackin trying to pick up Murdock, his Rambo style could suit this encounter. I'd be very concerned about Daniel Guinness as well, Joe McElroy if fit maybe.
McElroy for Guinness a good shout.  Big ask for Mackin being out for so long to go toe to toe with one of the form players in Ireland, Kelly would be the man for the job for me.

Yeah if Mackin was at 100% I'd give him that job all day, think Murnin aerially and Duffy in general play would be our best chance. TK for Guinness maybe? Did well on Joe O'Connor who is similar to Guinness as a strong powerful runner.

A bit like the parades in red and black in Germany in the 1930s.

It would annoy you if you had kids at the game and they were surrounded by that. No doubt Down will have their share also of these fair weather fans. With it being a bank holiday weekend id say the booze buses will be at a maximum. No problen.with youngsters enjoying themselves but the behaviour can be veey questionable. And how they get thr booze in. What do the Garda be at. I will be avoiding the hill
