Oisin was definitely good throughout but he wasn't offered a look in with the seniors like some of the others and that's why he withdrew completely.

Hope no one starts with the lack of commitment thing either like after I said JD and McAteer left, you won't have to worry about seeing them in a Derry jersey again.

make no doubt that is Derrys loss, obviously the lads decided it wasn't for them and that's fine but its a real shame. Two really good attacking players.

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on April 02, 2026, 05:38:18 PMIf they going win anything this yr they need him at either 6 or 11, and move McKeigue to midfield. Derry need to move the ball alot quicker, they got the best U20 forward in Ulster in Higgins and need give him alot more ball.

Higgins has great potential but that's a bit of a mad statement.

Did I understand what you have posted correctly, an u20 player withdrew from the u20 panel because he wasn't invited unto the senior panel like some others i.e Eamon Young & Higgins etc??

Heads up his hole if that's true. Can't believe it's true though.

from what I'm hearing he's got himself into serious shape.
A brilliant forward, kicks 5/6 on a bad day.

Ballinderry have the potential to upset the few of the big boys this year and try and get themselves back to the top table.

Sucky is in the best condition I have seen him in a long time , in this 2 point era he will be a a huge threat for Ballindery this year

Can Ballinderry be a threat in the championship? Outsider here

Would have been in the relegation play offs last year if Drumsurn hadnt nominated themselves, Lavey the most likely to break into the top 4 in Derry

Not sure I agree with that, they are still quite a distance away.
With some of the Downeys back it should help them but it'll be interesting to see how the new dynamic works out there.

I think Ballinderry are dangerous not necessary the team they were but on any day they put it up to top 4. Played last year without Mc Kinless and O Donnell missing for majority so that will change things.

Outside the top 4 there isn't much between any of them.

Rawhide

O' Donnell played in the cship for Ballinderry and played well. McKindless was the only player missing. They are close to it at all

Derry Championship Odds (Oddschecker) + My View
    •    Glen — 7/4 (36.4%) → drop to 3rd
    •    Slaughtneil — 11/4 (26.7%) → drop to 4th
    •    Newbridge — 3/1 (25.0%) → favourites
    •    Magherafelt — 4/1 (20.0%) → 2nd
    •    Lavey — 14/1 (6.7%) → about right
    •    Bellaghy — 33/1 (2.9%)
    •    Steelstown — 40/1 (2.4%)
    •    Banagher — 40/1 (2.4%)

+ Missing:
    •    Dungiven and Ballinderry → should be in the next tier after Lavey

If you think different let's hear it

I'd have Steelstown ahead of Bellaghy personally
