Anyone know if Sargent is likely to play in the next month? He would add a lot to the middle third but it's starting to feel like he won't tog for the u20s. I've watched a couple of the games on TV so not sure if he was even in the warm up with the 20s.

If they going win anything this yr they need him at either 6 or 11, and move McKeigue to midfield. Derry need to move the ball alot quicker, they got the best U20 forward in Ulster in Higgins and need give him alot more ball.

Is that correct regarding Higgins, I'd have thought Young and mc guckian would be better

Came back to Conor's sending off in Newbridge (Gough made a closed fist gesture at the time)in light of the Murphy incident on Sunday. If Conor gets sent off again this year he gets double the suspension yet Murphy still runs wild. Maddening.

I wouldn't say there was much between Eamon and Conall in club championship, Conall would really need to push on and take over from Shane Heavron before he has much impact for Derry seniors

Let's call it as we see it, this u20 want to win Ulster and the all Ireland. I believe they can but they need all the top guns out there in those knock out games including Sargent, Young, Higgins. If we are missing 1 or 2 could be the difference in a close game.

Also, Dylan Rocks was a really good prospect in one of those minor winning teams and I thought would have kicked on and got more game time. Not sure what the story is there.

McErlaine has a tendency to go with lads who will run all day but I think he's missing a trick as there's a few boys too similar in that forward line, be interesting if he tries anything different.

The best in Ulster is a bold statement. Donegal have a few very good forwards getting game time for their seniors at the minute.

There was a big difference between Higgins and Young in the final, Oisin Doherty was more impressive also.

Higgins very impressive at u17 level for Derry, the potential is definitely there.

Oisin was definitely good throughout but he wasn't offered a look in with the seniors like some of the others and that's why he withdrew completely.

Hope no one starts with the lack of commitment thing either like after I said JD and McAteer left, you won't have to worry about seeing them in a Derry jersey again.

make no doubt that is Derrys loss, obviously the lads decided it wasn't for them and that's fine but its a real shame. Two really good attacking players.

Higgins has great potential but that's a bit of a mad statement.
