The council got its first demolition order in, I think, 2008. The Murrays have spent the last 20 years abusing every level of the legal system. That agreed to vacate the house a few years ago but now admit that they only did that to buy time in the hope they could pull a miracle out of their holes to rescue the situation.

The Supreme Court said a few months ago that they had "driven a coach and four" through the country's planning laws.
