Canavan's trip probably means promotion is gone but it's a good chance for others to raise their hand for the Championship.

Tyrone will need to win all 4 games against Louth, Meath, cork and Offaly to win promotion. But even without canavan there's no excuse why Tyrone shouldn't beat those teams.

Jerome

Much better performance from Tyrone, Seanie O'Donnell added great energy to the team he would have been my MOTM. Morgan in really poor kicking form, direct cause of vital scores in the first half.
No reason why can't go on and win all remaining games.

NotedObserver

Some v good performances and much more hungry around the breaking ball. Cormac Quinn v sharp at the moment. Burns added a bit of strength down the centre. Teague will likely come in v Louth? A win against Louth will be key before heading into games without D Canavan. A lot of things to improve but some good moments in the game.

Morgan form is not at it the moment, costly mistakes in every game so far.

Any news of Tyrone underage panels for the upcoming year?

Scoring Zone

Much needed win, but struggled with a physical Div3 team for 40mins - Don't  think they are going anywhere fast atm with the amount of knocks a niggles we are picking up (surprised MOR let players play Sigerson, it has resulted in knocks they didn't need) But one big scalp can turn a season, but they are a mile off the top 4-5 teams.

Cork and Meath will be the acid test and with Meath size and athleticism i'm not hopeful

Wtf! All Ireland semi-final 2025:
Donegal 3-26 Meath 0-15   A 20 point defeat. Also lost Leinster final to a very middling Louth team. Some analysis that. Meath are a very poor outfit.

With McElholm now settling in well against Cavan and a good win [even if they should have got 6 goals] surely another step up against Louth [G Devlin or not]. Hope Jordan and Conor O'Neill get a full game and Morgan does no short kickouts til at least 50 mins gone! Is N Devlin fit yet?

Yes think Mcelholm inside line maybe the place for him for now and Conor Oneill looks totally at home at county level so far. Will Oneill come in for Cassidy? Cassidy doing well and hopefully he can make another step up and now adding a few more scores.

Will Daly continue at midfield?

Teamtalkmag debating on their podcast if Sunday v Cavan is the worst attended Tyrone game since the 1990's, think it was around 2,000 at the game roughly

Probably right enough, but also hard to blame people. Live on TV versus Omagh in the winter is a no brainer for a lot of people. I'd imagine the game in Dungannon next week will get a better turn out for the novelty factor alone

20euro in as well doesn't help
People want to see the big hitters/glamour fixtures such as Kerry, Donegal, Armagh, Galway, Dublin etc.

Playing Cavan in Omagh has to be the most boring fixture there is

Goals_Will_Come

Playing in Healy Park is a big part of the problem. A lot of Tyrone poorer championship performances of the last 5 years even 25 years have come in Omagh. Thinking Mayo game last year and going back to Derry 2006, Down 2008 and Armagh 2014. Personally think the county would benefit from rotating the National League games around the clubs - Carrickmore, Pomeroy etc and playing Champ games between Omagh and Dungannon depending on opposition and expected crowd. Play Kerry or Dublin etc with bigger crowd go to Omagh, playing a Louth, Kildare go to Dungannon.

Truthsayer

Had the misfortune of going to Tyrone v Cavan in the Ulster Championship last year. Spent the second half in the clubroom drinking coffee with two lads watching it on the big screen. Would have went home only was someone with me. Most boring game at the worst venue. Cavan are dire. Would sooner have stuck needles in my eyes last Sunday than travel to that mismatch in Omagh...
