As a law abiding tax paying citizen of the state of Massachusetts I'm furious that a 6 time child rapist was not handed over to ICE for deportation

If the facility he was being held at handed him over to ICE, then they would not need to go out into the community to try and apprehend him.

And now all these other (otherwise law abiding) undocumented persons get caught up in the net

Maybe this was just the excuse Trump
Was looking for to go in and terrorize these Blue cities and paint people like Ptitzker into a corner for 2028, but Trumps 100% correct in wanting to apprehend them and deport them

There's no "And now...".

Nor is Trump looking for an excuse to expand beyond hardened criminals.

Or painting Pritzer into a corner.

He campaigned on massive round ups. Those who voted for him are either bigots who don't like seeing all the brown people around them, or they were uninformed.

They're producing and putting out basic snuff videos showing their masked thugs abducting young mothers and hard working roofers off the street. They're gloating about it. They're lying about the people in question. They're disregarding court orders. No one is forcing them to do any of it, not is there any security or safety issue associated with targeting those poor people.

f**k them, and f**k anyone who tries to offer excuses for what they're doing.

Seems to be shock and awe idea of "doesn't matter who are we will get you" to get people to self deport.

Of course,  if there was any semblance of responsible governance in the western world this could have been avoided.

If they somehow manage to deport Ilhan Omar it may might create some sort of crisis, seems to be usual blustering though.

Trump is a gift to his enemies.

There's no "safety or security issue associated" with a 6 time child rapist being let walk free to re enter his community......seriously, what planet are you on?

I'm sure someone is going to get murdered or raped by one of these thugs between now and the next election. I could almost write the ad for the Republicans

(FWIW-I was listening to Smerconish yesterday and he quoted a poll that said 80-90% of Trump voters supported his immigration enforcement policies)

Come on! You know very well that the hardened criminals (which I referred to in that post) is not what I was referring to. The whole point of my bloody post (and the one I made yesterday on this topic) is that Trump has expanded it way beyond that category of people.

If Trump voters support this, they're racist scum, end of story. They can stick their supposed Christian values and faith up their holes.

And you know very well that I completely disagree with what ICE is doing

What I just can't understand is why Democratic politicians are going to the mat for child rapists and murderers.

What are they hoping to gain?

Did they learn nothing from 4 years of open borders Joe and the "Border Czar"?

2 dead and 20 injured following a campus mass shooting.

Imagine having a kid at a prestigious and very expensive elite university and this happens.

QuoteStupid, ilinformed, lazy, stereotypical, elitist and clueless opinion to say the least

You should be embarrassed at posting such nonsense, but I'm sure you lack the self awareness

Folks, if you really want to understand the truth of what happens in America, from the closest to an "Irish" perspective, as it pertains to how we are all raised and the values that we generally hold true with one another... Please pay attention to J70s posts here. J70 has a bias that from an American perspective that would be called Democratic, or Liberal. From an Irish perspective and implication of American politics filtered through a true Irish, and humanitarian mindset - he never misses the mark. Not one time in this close to to 2000 page thread.

This thread was started 16 years ago by a fella I actually met in San Fran, and he and I waivered long before Trump was on the scene.

As American based Irish people (exile in my case), this is an exceptionally confusing time to live here. America is headed (or already there) towards the same situation we endured in the north of Ireland for a lifetime. Folks voting against one an other on the basis of distrust, and in many situations hatred. We used to judge one another on the basis of first or last names. Over here we are starting to judge one another on the basis of our feelings on the NFL, Guns, support for LGBTQ, or any of the political issues that have de facto become political footballs.

As much as I detested what MTG did to the politics here, she recently recognized it and stated

Quote"Well actually Wolf, I feel very sorry for President Trump, I genuinely do," Greene responded. "It has to be a hard place for someone that is constantly so hateful, and puts so much vitriol, name-calling, and really tells lies about people in order to try to get his way, or win some kind of fight. And I think that's exactly what's wrong in America today.... I personally think that that's poor leadership from a president, it's a very bad demeanor. And Americans are very tired of it."

As Tim Walz, Minnesota Governor recently stated

Quote"This is what Donald Trump has done. He has normalized this type of hateful behavior and this type of language," Walz said of Trump's social media post. "At first, I think it's just because he's not a good human being. But secondly, (it's) to distract from his incompetency."

I may not be as politically well read as Whitey, The Wobbler, or J70 - but I live here and I see it daily.

I live among very wealthy white people in a suburb of a predominantly white city. I see the rich and the wealthy (family included) tailor their morality to "align with their financial self interest".

Don't be fooled, you would hate all of these people if they sat next to you in a bar. I don't have that personal luxury, but I certainly have drawn some lines in the sand.

I am not ashamed, or embarrassed to be called out on an anonymous message board.

Things are not good, and hatred is on the rise. I won't subscribe to it.

One of the best posts that I've read here in a long LONG time
"So Boys stick together
in all kinds of weather"

whitey

It was a good post, but obviously he thinks there's bad guys only on one side

I'm sure as a "liberal" living in Deep Red Texas, Puckoon is driven absolutely insane by the flat out fvckery he witnesses on a daily basis

As a "conservative" living in Massachusetts I deal with the other side of the same coin

My question for Puckoon and J70 and others where was there outrage when child rapists and murderers were released into their communities under sanctuary policies?

They are justifiably outraged now with what's happening with ICE, but when their side did something equally as outrageous....what did we hear?

Crickets!

Sanctuary cities and states release child rapists and murderers to the community-FACT-rather than hand them over to ICE for deportation

Later that day, ICE Boston lodged an immigration detainer with the Lawrence Police Department against Avila, but the Lawrence District Court refused to honor the detainer. I'm sure there are a million stories you could throw up, hell your own president has this!

March 2023 indictment in New York
He faced 34 criminal charges of falsifying business records in the first degree related to payments made to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election. The trial began on April 15, 2024; Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts on May 30, 2024

But no one is condoning what you have said! Again a twisted mentally deranged individual, get help

As a law abiding taxpaying legal resident of the state of Massachusetts I absolutely have a right to be completely outraged at what's happening in my state

And neither you, nor any other misinformed do gooder from 3000 miles away will silence me

You still didn't answer the question though-would you want this guy living next door to you when he should have been handed over to ICE and DEPORTED
