As a law abiding tax paying citizen of the state of Massachusetts I'm furious that a 6 time child rapist was not handed over to ICE for deportation

If the facility he was being held at handed him over to ICE, then they would not need to go out into the community to try and apprehend him.

And now all these other (otherwise law abiding) undocumented persons get caught up in the net

Maybe this was just the excuse Trump
Was looking for to go in and terrorize these Blue cities and paint people like Ptitzker into a corner for 2028, but Trumps 100% correct in wanting to apprehend them and deport them

There's no "And now...".

Nor is Trump looking for an excuse to expand beyond hardened criminals.

Or painting Pritzer into a corner.

He campaigned on massive round ups. Those who voted for him are either bigots who don't like seeing all the brown people around them, or they were uninformed.

They're producing and putting out basic snuff videos showing their masked thugs abducting young mothers and hard working roofers off the street. They're gloating about it. No one is forcing them to do any of it, not is there any security or safety issue associated with targeting those poor people.

As American based Irish people (exile in my case), this is an exceptionally confusing time to live here. America is headed (or already there) towards the same situation we endured in the north of Ireland for a lifetime. Folks voting against one an other on the basis of distrust, and in many situations hatred. We used to judge one another on the basis of first or last names. Over here we are starting to judge one another on the basis of our feelings on the NFL, Guns, support for LGBTQ, or any of the political issues that have de facto become political footballs.

As much as I detested what MTG did to the politics here, she recently recognized it and stated

I live among very wealthy white people in a suburb of a predominantly white city. I see the rich and the wealthy (family included) tailor their morality to "align with their financial self interest".
