What were the bookie odds for 2-0? Someone will have a good night.
We need more of the same against Hungary.

Big ask to get a result away against Hungary. The red helped no end, not much to bring on from the bench and some lads looked out on their feet.

That Idah is one lazy Hoor though. You'd swear he'd  just come off a shift down the mines. More energy in  a pound shop battery.

Gael85

Brilliant win. Will count for nothing if don't win Sunday. Deserved red for Ronaldo. If Martinez had any balls he bench Ronaldo.  Portugal going nowhere starting him.

Yeah, that was a poor defeat.

Looking back now, it was a joke of a defeat.

So I heard. That could be the difference.

Plus they got a  late point v Portugal , and Ireland lost a late  point there.

Just home from it.That was brilliant, some atmosphere, up there with Holland in 2001.
Ronaldo  ;D
Nordie Tayto is shite

Great result, hopefully follow that up against Hungry, who are no Portugal
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

But they all  did well.

A big performance needed  on Sunday.

The two biggest  weak links for Portugal is  Martinez and Ronaldo. In that order.
His tactics were bonkers. Way too attack minded, that high line was clearly wrong from minute 1.

Unbelievable result for Ireland

I said the exact same thing before the euros.

Martinez and Ronaldo holding back a golden generation of Portuguese players.

Martinez ruined the Belgium golden generation and could be about to do the same with Portugal.

Medium size nations like them two don't get crops of players like that too often.

Portuguese team that won euros hasn't a patch on the current squad.

How does Martinez still get big jobs? He was found out a decade ago.

The worst/best bit about it all is that Fernando Santos had the balls to drop him during the WC when Gonçalo Ramos scored the hat trick. That should have been the end of it but no, they caved completely.

snoopdog

Great result for Ireland.  Pity the defeat away to Armenia looks like killing us. Portugal were so poor though.
Hopefully Parrot remains the striker. I doubt ferguson would've scored 2 last night.
