Quote from: pintandgaaman on September 30, 2025, 01:50:50 PMAnyone hear any chat of that young colton cub from fintona getting called up to the seniors this season?

Did you really make a new account to post this?
Heard rumours of it from a few different sources and also a minor poty can't be argued with
Nonsense...however I did hear that Dromore have been knocking a few doors as part of their 'rebuild' effort. Colton's being one of them, his father being a dromore man.

Oisin Gormley also approached, he played with their minors when drumquin couldn't field.
Wouldn't be the first Fintona transfer to Dromore in recent times.

They could be jumping the other way in the future once the so called 'Fintona Juggernaut' reaches D1, although following last weeks result they are in reality closer to 3B
Dromore are in such desperation to try and keep up with there parish rivals trillick that they are now offering such perks as a 'free pint in the corner' after training if they transfer, allegedly young Colton was spotted in Dromore this evening also with Joe rafferty scouting agency.
Keep this nonsense to yourself. With this team coming through in fintona it would be crazy to leave them. You would need to go rightly down the history books to find a Dromore minor winning team. Unbelievable

Ballygawleyftw

Conor McKenna back in the fold for Eglish by all reports?
Fancy them to nip a Moy side who can never get over the line in the last 3/4 years. Conroy kicks a few wides early and will throw the toys out of the pram as norm.

Aghaloo will be hoping the bad weather keeps up to try and maul down Clonoe. Could see a few red cards in this one.
Clonoe by 6.

Themanupnorth

Eglish vs moy- Eglish, all round better team than the moy so they take it, should be an interesting battle.

Clonoe vs aghaloo- Clonoe, can see this by at least 20 points.

Would be a good move by him, bound to be dreading next season after playing with tyrone minors and winning an all ireland and a grade 1 league title for fintona minors to then dropping down and playing junior football against Glenelly Eskra and Derrytresk.

Fintona always seem to have good youth but are a junior club. Why is this???

Onthe40

that's a bit of a derogatory comment to the likes of Eskra, Glenelly & Derrytresk
Fintona will get their fill of it against all those teams

their in junior football as that's where they obviously deserve to be
considering the youth Fintona have had over the past 10-15 years, they prob shouldnt be there but thats where they are so have to suck it up

dhá chos chlé

Aghaloo v Clonoe - Clonoe -
Clonoe will be asked questions from aghaloo who will have their tails up.

Moy v eglish - Moy -
could be game of the championship if both teams at it.

Trillick v EC - Trillick -
both teams underperforming in q/f but they will leave no stone unturned for this clash,
Trillick will no doubt have the teeth gritted for this one.

Lough vs Carrickmore - draw on the day-
I genuinely can't call this

They will just do a Cookstown and steamroll over the top of most of the teams except for Stewartstown and Clogher/Drumragh. They will get promoted at the earliest opportunity and then push towards the top end of Intermediate. Their youth panels are now transferring to Tyrone Minor and U20 panels and you will see this translated in promotion to Senior before too long.

Onthe40

well guess what if they don't beat any of those 3 teams..they stay in junior

no-one is questioning the quality of some of fintonas youth, fantastic players
but this doesn't guarantee senior club success for a variety of reasons
just ask Ardboe, Donaghmore, Cookstown to name but a few who have supplied the county youth panels endlessly for years

As in the same as Cookstown - close games with Clogher and Drumragh and hammer the rest. Fintona can expect a close game with Stewartstown and Drumagh or Clogher whichever one stays down and then hammer the rest. They will certainly get promoted back to Intermediate.
Cookstown the only real outlier club at the minute who haven't been fit to translate years of good youth to the bare minimum of playing in Senior Football. All other good youth teams have developed it into Senior football status for their clubs. Be interesting to see what Fintona do in the next 5 years.

ClubScene13

£15 in is some craic for both intermediate semi finals and the junior semi finals the next day. What's that all about?

Make hay when the sun shines and all that but what are we gonna be talking for the county final? And why are we continually more expensive than every other county with no season pass.

That storm would be worrying as well for this weekend, we'll see

Serious praise for a team that was talked about at the start of the year but now are back in junior. For all you know half that youth could be sitting in the goal post in 5 years time chatting about how they used to play football and won an all ireland.

Ridiculous statements.

Heard Jayos Steamroller doesnt stop until he has the All Ireland Intermediate Lifted... His ban from Croker will be lifted also I am hearing!

CCC just moved Friday nights games to Sunday. Common sense decision.

Playing in junior could help fintona break in the youngsters against teams such as Eskra, where it is ritual to drink 10 pints the night before a game and chat about the good old days lording it in intermediate.
