YO!

Ethan Jordan was exceptional. Some really good performances all over the pitch in general. I thought Ruairi McHugh, Cormac O'Hagan and Bailey Leonard were really good for Coalisland. The Muldoon lad at 14 for Eglish, I believe that he is only 19.

Maybe he was just unmarkable last night but it is hard to see, albeit I only watched on TV, why Coalisland didn't tighten up on Jordan they had the players on the pitch capable of doing that role- they may have underestimated him in early stages but it was evident to see in the second half that if Eglish were to win it was Jordan that was going to be the driving force behind that it was crying out for Devlin to go to him.

I agree with previous statement - if Jordan played for errigal it would be all over social media

The fianna relying on all the local clubs to give them a chance of a playoff - be hard to bring the band together for this knowing no promises

If he played for Errigal he'd be their third best forward behind the canavan brothers so I'd highly doubt he'd be all over social media.

Dungannon brilliant venue for a big game. God be with the days Tyrone played there and it hosted senior club finals. Omagh completely soulless.

Yeah Muldoon stood out big time in last years minor club championship. Eglish lost out narrowly to Cookstown in the final

I don't think he played minors with the county, which is surprising

Big game in Dungannon last night. Ethan Jordan what a performance. Can't not think that young Hampsey was hung out to dry really... don't understand why you don't put Devlin or Hampsey on him. Don't think either of them had great games anyways so been better of marking Eglish main man.

Can't see Eglish winning the championship they're heavily reliant on Jordan and he can't hit scores like that every week.

Albeit the new scoring metric skews this stat but what is the most scored in a Tyrone Club Championship match? That must be up there...

Matty McGuigan scored 0-14 in the old rules in 2021 intermediate championship versus Stewartstown.

Has Ethan Jordan ever been up at the county? Or been on Minor/u20 set ups?

His scoring in the league was phenomenal this year.

Funny the amount of ones calling for Ethan to be called up. Never heard his name mentioned before but after 1 good game hes now a county player in the waiting. Lets wait and see how he gets on the next few games before people assume hes the next big thing

Don't entirely agree with that. If you've had any interest in club football over the past few years you'd have heard of him before. But I do agree that it's a bit early to call for a county call up. How many forwards do people want on the county team? It seems like if it was up to this board there'd be about 20 forwards

Scored 0-5 for the Tyrone team that won the first All-Ireland U-17 (now minor) Championship back in 2017:

Quote from: NotedObserver on August 09, 2025, 11:37:25 AMAnyone seeing potential county players and ones to watch in championship. Could lorcan Mcgarrity make the step up?
McGarrity looks good but how many forwards do people want to bring into the 26? Joey Clarke would be a player I'd be looking at bringing in but it will be the same situation as the likes of O'Hare, R. Canavan and them lads. People begging for the younger lads to be called up and play games then they put in a bad performance and they're getting written off altogether as county players. Whoever does come in it will take 2 or 3 years minimum for them to find their feet
Correct about the two or three years but atleast Malachy has been releasing those players outside of the 26 to play club - this will help with retaining squad players for development. The creation of the development panel will also help get players through in time.
Ethan Jordan Eglish be worth a look at, was a wing forward as he came through Tyrone U20s and has been playing to a very high level for Eglish.
