Quote from: TyroneClubs on May 05, 2025, 01:17:48 PMI see Sundays games are now 5pm and 6:30pm. Oh what a time to be a club player. Coalisland getting to travel to Owen Roes on a Sunday night and Killeeshil to Aghyaran.

The county board will be thinking the glory days are back with the Sunday evening games

I fail to see how the County Board don't change these games to a more suitable day e.g. Saturday. Sunday at 6:30 isn't ideal when both teams are so far apart. I seen the same last year with teams having to travel on a Friday evening, serious pressure to put on the ordinary club player to rush home from work then head to the opposite end of the County when a Saturday would be more practical.

Alot of ones work on a Saturday. Students etc.
From talking to ones Friday night games were the best option, so long as you aren't going to the far side of the county.

I fully agree, the Friday nights have been the best thing to happen to club football within the County as long time. Supporters seem to like them  and it gives the amateur player some personal time over the weekend. Its just those particular games that could be changed. Aghyaran to Moortown on a Friday isn't ideal unless you are the home team who often don't agree to changing the game to the Saturday as they see it as a serious advantage over the travelling team.

Quote from: TheDergView on May 01, 2025, 09:48:33 AMWey leagues started/starting in the next few weeks im going to share my predictions for the 2025 season.
Division 3.
3A- Tatts
3B league - The Derg. If we can keep all players involved
Championship- toss up between Cookstown an Clogher. Drumragh possibly as well

Division 2.
Relegation- I'd like to see 2 of my neighbours Drumquin and Naomh Eoghan stay up. Sadly tho I think they both drop this year. Along with Beragh.
League- Think the other noisy neighbours Aghyaran should have a say. Along with clonoe and Eglish.
Championship- Greencastle. Knocking on the door for a few years now

Division 1.
Relegation- Moortown, Derrylaughlan and Pomeroy
League- Dromore
Championship- Errigal/trillick once again.

Your thoughts?

My thoughts are you'd be better sticking to following dergview FC as them predictions are awful, the less we here from you the better.

^ False. Arrogant Ciaran got well tested by Cargin in Ulster Club. Cargin would probably beat most teams in Tyrone. Considering they are a semi professional club & they train on Wednesdays at 3pm... Which has changed to Mondays due to league games now played on Wednesdays <- not false.

Am no fan of Errigal Canavan but less of the fake news... they beat Cargin out the gate 0-17 to 0-9... that's not 'well tested'.
Team that got relegated from Div 1 in Tyrone drew with Errigal in championship.. Clonoe. So unlikely Cargin would beat too many teams in Tyrone senior football. Facts...

Are the Feile Finals scheduled for tomorrow?

Start of the intermediate league this weekend! Bout time. Predictions -
Eglish v Drumquin - 10 points at least win for the home side. Hard to see where DQ get points this year at all sir.
Owen Roes v Coalisland - Now big cacs is back way OR and it being down there, it should be tight. But Coalisland have just enough.
Rock v Clonoe - 8pt win by Clonoe. Road tey Croker 2026.
Aghyarn v Kileeshil - Up the road from me, hopefully get up to watch it. Tough place to go. And that's just because of the wee country roads and smell of shite. Should be a good game.
Aghaloo v Moy - Is conroy back with Moy? Big variant here. Still fancy them by 5 without him.
Naomh Eoghan v Stewartstown- Home advantage prevails here. Comfortable win for the NE men.

Yeah maybe but I'm just saying they play games on a Wednesday evening. Every year in here people are crying about the times of games,  the dates of games, the travelling involved.  Do you want to  play or not is my question. If it doesn't suit, then take up something else, it's a very simple choice

So screw the players and do nothing to accommodate them having lives? Also you do know the leagues in Antrim mean sweet FA... suppose we should follow that model to. You can choose what championship you are in regardless of how well you done the previous year, another Antrim innovation we should look at.

That last bit isn't quite right!
