Basically for 80% of clubs the season will be effectively over once they are safe. Be alot of cough cough favours dished out late on.
Not a fan of different games having different points at stake either.

Not a fan of this either, Errigal etc. beating Gortin provided Gortin remain in senior next year and getting 3 points for it won't help the weaker teams case.
Bigger issue be in the relegation and promotion pictures. Imagine Aghaloo beating Drumquin in round 2 and Kildress beating Drumquin in round 13 and Kildress staying up by one point over Aghaloo because of when the game was played.

This has proven to be the case in the past.

Does it state anywhere that if in bottom 2 but win the championship you don't get relegated?

I pictured this in my head as well and thought some club is going to get royally screwed over by this eventually.

Anyone know the story if a game is postponed/rescheduled for a later date? Guessing it'll still be worth 2 points if it was originally meant to take place during the 2 point section?

skeog

Not compiled until senior county championship squad finalised. Then starred games are 'supposedly' easier to work out

Do you not remember the hump several clubs took last year because a few lads opted to leave the county squad in order to get football with their clubs after the fixtures were released

County board will want to avoid that again for certain this year but it is an unavoidable consequence of the starred system

Lads have left the panel in every year in recent times and will continue to do so in future as well

That is sure to happen at some stage and will cause significant uproar from the team at the wrong end of it. I can't say I could fault them much either.

Jerome

The solution to that would be to split all the divisons in two. So 1a and 1b etc. You play each team in your division twice. Once for 1 points and once for 3 points. Beat Drumquin twice.
