Quote from: Sportacus on December 18, 2024, 11:12:16 AMGood riddance to the Israel embassy.  Ireland will look back in years to come and will have not a shred of regret.  As usual Michael D spoke for us with dignity, clarity and wisdom. Starmer and other leaders were equivocal and Israel took full advantage.  A psychopath regime.  I do hope it doesn't blow back on Irish peacekeepers in the region who are just sitting ducks. And I'll throw in Brolly the spoofer for good measure.  He loved tweeting about Micheal's visit, even though Brolly himself cosied up to Biden something shocking. Clown.
Absolute nonsense bout Brolly. He tweeted that before this whole genocide and has been totally calling out Biden for months. Said how he was taken in by him etc and as much as anyone calls out Biden, Netenyahu, and Israel with facts and figures on genocide in his podcasts and tweets.
Lazy comments lad...
I think you've been taken in by Brolly.

I think you haven't a clue what you're talking about. Few have been as outspoken as Brolly regarding Israel, Netenyahu and Biden about this genocide. You may not like him but on this one you are wrong.
Podcast after podcast and tweets he has laid into them.

I don't follow him on any social media, but I did see his criticism of Micheal Martin and I found it very two faced having seen him on tv lapping round Biden. If he's caught himself on that's good.

How long ago is that? 😆 there's been others lapped around Biden since then when Israel was on full genocide mode, maybe call them out... unreal using the awful situation in Gaza to have a cut at Brolly... some agenda that.

Maybe Joe could take a look at those closer to home? Michelle O'Neill was on the same junket to the White House and thanked Joe Biden for his support. Joe is just using the Gaza situation to have a cut at Martin.

And you haven't a clue either. He has been calling out the situation in Gaza and America's involvement for ages with facts, figures, the history and not a mention of Martin. There is a separate hate Joe Brolly thread; you're just demeaning this one by using it to have a go at Brolly...
PS: He had a go at Martin for his comments bout the North.. jees! 🙄

Tbf, Joe has been a consistently vocal opponent of the genocide in Palestine from a long way back. I don't always agree with him, but on this issue he has been exceptional.

Totally.. whatever bout his views on football etc... is not even debatable his consistently calling out this genocide including Biden's role...

Hopefully this is the start of some more intensive international pressure.

This is huge imo, the power of sport, especially on the international stage cannot be understated. Israel being shunned will drive them up the wall... Both barrels now for Norway

A nation of Anti-semites, didn't 10 or 20  Norwegians join the SS during WW2 or something something ..something

It's a pity the game wasn't a bit sooner.

What other nations are going to stand up now?

Shouldn't our Catholic moral guardians be standing up more for humanity?

Its embarrassing is it not that a football association standing up to genocide in a meaningful way is the headline whilst western governments and faiths keep their heads down.
