Has the league been scrapped yet? Surely this can't go on?

You'd know more about a soup sandwich  The games going  ahead still and I would like to see Errigal win it.

To be honest carmen should throw in the towel if errigal do go on and  win on Sunday cause there's just no point playing it at this stage and then make county board make the decision to change the rule to whoever finishes top wins it next year 🤷🏻♂️

What manager would have taken the most club teams in Tyrone?

3 competitions that seem to have been discontinued in Tyrone as a result of the GAA changing age grades (and then changing back) are U-20/U-21, Og Sport and U-13 League.
The U-20/21's is a real shame as this would be the first year (bar 2020) since it's inception in 1973 that a Grade between Minor and Senior/Reserve is not played in Tyrone. Og Sport made a comeback in 2022 after 2 seasons due to Covid but no sign of it since, and there hasn't been an U-13 Grade since the age grades were changed back at the start of 2023. The U-13 Leagues were very useful in determining the gradings of teams at U-14 Level the following season.
Just think it would be nice to see these competitions back at some point.

Where would you put them in the calendar?

U-21's as a pre season tournament over a 4 week period.
You only need 2 different nights to run off Og sport so don't think that would be an issue.
U-13's was traditionally held in the autumn after the U-14's had usually been completed by end of June/start of July. Now that the U-14's is back and finished by that time of the year again could the U-13 League not return also in the Autumn?

ccc has to look at fixtures, u14s only competition to really go well this year
U16s still going after provisionally being scheduled for may, pushed back to June then practically July
I saw G2/G3 league games still going last week in the fixtures
Minors ran from start of year to sept

will ccc sticks with same schedule as this year?
That should be confirmed by end of previous year so at least clubs know which age group is out in feb/mar

Did Carrickmore win the Minor Development League this year? They finished top of the section but were there any semi-finals played after that?

ClubScene13

Did McKinless and Ryan Bell get their suspensions over turned? Big chance for DKB if not, that's two massive losses.

You'd fancy Errigal as well and if it was to be Scotstown in a final then you're dealing with a group of players with no Ulster club medals either, anything possible at that stage.

McKinless got his 2 game suspension reduced to 1 game and therefore can play on Sunday. Haven't heard about Bell from anyone round that direction.

There should definitely be an u-20 competition. A lot of young lads sit on the bench for reserve teams and then clear off because they're not getting game time.

Posted this previously and still think it would work better than the current system. What I would like to see at club level would be -
A modified calendar along the lines of:

U12 - April - June
U14 - July - October (finish before school football begins)
U16 - March - June (starting after the conclusion of school football which is generally St Patrick's Day and the traditional club start anyway - County Minors available to all clubs as was supposed to be the case this year but enforced by CCC - problem would be lessened as less players affected)
U18 - Late June - September (beginning after County Minor season and exams and concluded prior to Senior championships)
Reserve (with anyone Over 16 eligible - giving those lads football through Spring) - April - August
Senior (Over 17 only eligible) - May - October

tyrone1984

Would tend to agree with the above. Only thing being is that lads over 16 won't have football competitively until late June if the reserve rule doesn't change?

At the minute any lad who is just out of u16 now end of this year cant reserve football next year is that right? This definitely needs changed as smaller clubs are being forced to play them anyhow
