Got tickets for United V West Ham on December 21st in OT...looking forward to it, possible relegation 6 pointer!! ;D :-[
Have you got flexibility in your flights? The televised matches haven't been picked yet for that weekend.
Aye, saw that..planning to go friday evening and back Sunday night. Should get it then, I could see it being the Saturday night game around 5pm!

I've tickets for Liverpool V Cardiff the same weekend but haven't been able to look at flights or the like either. Haven't even fully convinced myself to travel either!

I'm in the same boat that weekend. Cardiff game ticket but can't book flights, nightmare, were cheap as chips too when a few weeks ago.

I wonder how many of the people now  second-guessing Moyes' decision to get shot of Ferguson's backroom team were applauding his decision to 'be his own man' at the time.

I thought it was a bad idea at the time...worse now!

I'm sure plenty of people did. I'm also sure many of the people tut-tutting about it now thought it was a fab idea at the time. And if Moyes turns it around, they'll be applauding him for stamping his authority on the club!

Moyes is making some strange decisions which aren't helping his cause.  Why is Zaha not playing?  Not as if he is a young player being nurtured through from the youth team, he cost the guts of £20 million.  Whats the craic with making Rooney captain?  After his recent antics he is the last man that should get near the armband, talk about licking his arse.

Not a young player? He doesn't turn 21 until November. He wasn't walk straight into the Utd first team with Nani having signed a new 5 year deal Young/Valenica fighting for a place. Plus the emergence of Januzaj as another winger.
He will get lots chances as the season progresses.. It was Ferguson and not Moyes who signed him after all, maybe Moyes is favouring Januzaj coming from the bench at present.

I didn't say he wasn;t young I said he wasn't some young player United have developed which is a different scenario.  He is a player bought for a large amount of money and is already a full England international with a few years experience of playing first team football.  He should have at least been on the pitch by now.

He wasn't bought by Moyes though. so maybe doesn't favour him as much, yet, regardless of the figure he was bought for.
He was playing Championship football until this season, he might not be ready for a full start or role with Utd yet.

His 2 Full England caps came from the bench in Friendly games.

Does no-one else think that when a player is described as a "full england international" and has a few caps that it is the most worthless/misleading description of a player? Given their lack of recent success, their poor performances, the struggles they are having in the current qualifying campaign, being an england international is nothing to crow about. England are a very poor team, with no realistic hopes of achieving, having caps for england mean you are the best in a very poor bunch. Ricky Lambert and James Milner have england caps for god sake.
Michu, as far as im aware, doesnt have a cap for spain, if he were english he would have 50+ caps at this stage.

Would agree with that. Lambert being a great example.

Mikel Arteta also. Would have 50+ caps if he were English. Christ sure they were considering that clown Almunia a few years back!!!

Ferguson splashed out £20M on Zaha? WTF.

If he was so shit hot, why did the messiah buy him and then let him go straight out on loan to the club he bought him from?
Zaha is work in progress I'd presume hence Fergusons decision to loan him and hence why he's not getting a start now a few months later.

BennyCake

That's a problem with the current squad. There's too many works in progress (Jones, Smalling, Welbeck, De Gea, Cleverley, Fabio, Buttner, Powell, Zaha etc). Vital positions have needed filling for a few years. Established, experienced players were needed to fill those positions, not WIPs. Uniteds rivals don't buy WIPs. That's why United are lagging behind.

The Insider

Moyes was right to do what he done regarding the former backroom staff, plenty of United supporters cribbed out Phelan . He now needs to weed out all those who (1) are not good enough any more through age Giggs Ferdinand Evra (defensively) (2) those who have never fulfilled promise over the last 3 or 4 years Anderson ,Nani, Macehda Cleverley , and signings like Young  and Smalling . The 6 to 8 changes per game is not helping either . Needs to put out the strongest 11 each week and rotate when games are won .Needs to find out now if the likes of the Keanes , Powell Lingard can make the jump along with Januaji . It must be scary for Engurland that Smalling Jones Cleverly Young Wellback  Zaha all England squad regulars are not making regular starts for United .

Powell is on loan at Wigan for the season. Lingard with Birmingham. Both doing well.

Moyes doesn't like creative players by the looks of things. To me it looks like the job is too big for him. On top of the performances on the pitch the preseason seemd a bit of a mess, transfer window bungles, several terrible press conferences (including this week). I wanted (still do) it to work out but it's not going to is it?

Unfortunately for us of a United persuasion we're getting to see just how good Ferguson was all too soon. However, replacing him with someone who has won absolutely nothing, ever, was a strange one.
