Got tickets for United V West Ham on December 21st in OT...looking forward to it, possible relegation 6 pointer!! ;D :-[
Have you got flexibility in your flights? The televised matches haven't been picked yet for that weekend.
Aye, saw that..planning to go friday evening and back Sunday night. Should get it then, I could see it being the Saturday night game around 5pm!

I've tickets for Liverpool V Cardiff the same weekend but haven't been able to look at flights or the like either. Haven't even fully convinced myself to travel either!

I normally head round that time and it always is Baltic. You end up sticking out like a sore thumb on a night out as been the only one wearing a jacket/coat.

nice time of the year for a game. A wee thermos with hot whiskeys in it is the trick. Open it up and pour a wee cup and the amount of heads that turn when they smell the wamr comforting aroma...nice :-)

I've often got the whiff of something warm and comforting on the Kop. It usually ain't whiskey though.

Bit before my time, that. I'm thinking of aromas of the herbal variety.

Figured that alright.

Some amount of panic from the United supporters while Pool fans are probably hoping David Moyes does for United what Graeme Souness did for them. The other haters are giddy with excitement no doubt they are still devastated that Fergie retired on a high.

I think a few of the above posters should remember what United did before RVP was signed, lets just say 2007 to 2012 United won four league titles, the two they lost was on scoring difference and by one point & they also reached three champions league finals in that time. Did united need a top goal scorer after all that success? i think not. For the record RVP scored 26 league goals last season one less than Rooney managed the season before.

In regards to the the squad it has few old heads like Giggs,Rio while the likes of Carrick,Vidic have a few more good seasons in them yet. De Gea,Rafael,Evans,Smalling,Chicharito etc are all in their mid to early 20s with plenty of room for improvement. All in all its a decent squad with a nice mix of youth and experience though you can't stand still so some reshaping/strengthening will need to be done.

A bad result/performance on Saturday but the tough fixtures like Chelsea at home Pool,City away hasn't helped Moyes, if Fergie was still around United would be on 10 or 11 points now i reckon, the plus point is Chelsea,City are only 3,4 points ahead & IMO they are only other sides that are capable of winning the league title this season.

I won't be judging Moyes after 6 league games though i always said the only way is down after Fergie, the last two seasons brought 89 points that won't happen this season but If United don't finish the season with at least 75-80 points then it will be a poor first season for Moyes.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

He is yet another Quality Belgian player. They have some serious young talent. Be great to see him given a start soon, very impressive when he came on Saturday, even if it was a poor result.

Why is Moyes not picking Zaha?

Moyes needs a few good wins to get everyone onside, his problem is quite simply he is not fergie.
Personally don't think he is up to the job and would have preferred hid fink or someone just for a couple of years to allow the break with the fergie regime.

Good point. I think partly the reason why United failed to sign anybody in the summer because big European names never heard of Moyes. An experienced man like Hiddink (I presume that's who you meant) would have kept everything ticking over and attracted big signings too.
