Way to go there chatting about soccer and you think "rubbish" and "disgusting" are apt phrases to analyse my rationale with.

For the record, the word "prudence" was a subtle implication that there's no way the Glazers would countenance a major outlay on signings.

Moyes doesn't like creative players by the looks of things. To me it looks like the job is too big for him. On top of the performances on the pitch the preseason seemd a bit of a mess, transfer window bungles, several terrible press conferences (including this week). I wanted (still do) it to work out but it's not going to is it?

Unfortunately for us of a United persuasion we're getting to see just how good Ferguson was all too soon. However, replacing him with someone who has won absolutely nothing, ever, was a strange one.

Jeez that's a bit mad Seanie

I think Moyes will be a success long term. My view was that if United wanted to push on immediately they needed to appoint a big name european manager and spend some serious dough. If they wanted to do it more prudently (glazer style) then Moyes was the way to go but it was going to take time.

If he's given 2/3 years Moyes will billd a successful squad but it will take that time to change the ethos to his liking. You can argue that it doesn't need changed but a different manager can't manage in someone else's style. You pick a manager you believe in and you give him time and resources.

They will be in the CL next season no worries year 2 has to see a title challenge and CL 1/4 Finals. Year three must be English title and a serious European assault.  2 years of mediocrity probably

Moyes won't be there in 2 or 3 years. I said from the start, he won't last his 2nd season. I wouldn't be surprised if he was gone by the end of this season.

Aaron Boone

Can't see a win for United in Shahktar tonight, even in Ferguson's time it'd be a major ask.

Not a hope. I fear a proper tanking.

Why is Moyes not picking Zaha?

Maybe this is why  :D

Sheesh Wilfred, at least follow the example of Ray Clemence* and wait until you've won three European Cups before playing away from home with someone off limits!

Fellaini is terrible, watched him a few times and he's so far the season he hasn't fitted in. Utd have brought on Giggs, time to have a serious clear out if they are being serious about winning something soon

He put in one bad tackle after another and could have been sent off, he ran into dead ends, they took him off before he got sent off, did you watch the match?
