Ballyholland wins the Galway Plate at 16/1......owned by one of our committee members....and I didnt even know it was running today :'( :'(

>:( >:( Any word how much the bookies were cleaned around Newry???????????????

I know one of the smaller country bookies got stung for about 40 grand and lot of people havent collected yet......the owner isnt home from Galway yet and he has yet to call in to see him. :o

I heard mcdonnells on church was stung for 15 grand in its last race :o :o The harps will soon have an all seater stadium  ;D ;D

Hear they were hit quite hard alright but sure ole mc donnell probably had most of it laid elsewhere!

Not overly upmarket or anything but I can't get enough of Spur (Victoria Sq and Newry).  Their steaks and burgers are unbelievable, very good staff as well, have never encountered ignorant staff, always polite and friendly.  Nice place for a cheaper bite to eat.
really?

where is la boca?

Don't know if its true, but I got this from a pretty reliable source this morning, that Mc Kenna was'nt the only one at those Aussie rules trials. That Charlie vernon was there also!! I hope not as he is one of the few flickers of hope at the moment

The Star on Tuesday/Monday mentioned both fellas were at the the trials at the weekend along with Antrims Mc Cann and Mc KKeever

right it was alright for the first hour or so, more neutral than I expected, but it's gets silly towards the end.
seen it last nite in the cinema. cinema packed BTW. I would agree with you POG. Good enough for the first 3/4s, then towards the end it gets too sensationalised with a hollywood ending and way off track from what actually happened. Ben Kingsley as his handler was excellent. Sturgess accent was pretty good i thought. Think it was filmed in round Ardglass or somewhere and the urban shoots were done in Belfast. plenty of shots of the Harland and Wolfe cranes! Neutral enough also. Plenty of tuts behind me in the cinema when the sex scenes came on!

I see in the paper today that Anderson and Webster are being linked with moves to the PDC and could be offered places in the PRemier League as wildcards.

Great little player on his day! Was hot and cold in his first spell with us . He didnt celebrate when he scored against us in fratton park earlier this season but you could tell that he loved spurs. Spurs arent paying as much as people think for him either. Spurs are cancelling the sell on clause and the monies owed from the Kaboul and Mendes deals so its not as if were 15m out for him either. Heard people saying that he didnt score that many goals for us. We did score 43 league goals in 88 starts and 51 sub appearance so i would be pretty happy with that again. Hopefully he can form a partnership with pav as well cause it looks like the Bent and him arent compatable as they havent played together much this season due to Modric playing behind the front man.

The scoreline flattered us last night. We were very ordinary in parts the midfield was a total wasteland especially in the 1st. Hopefully thats where the triallist Appiah will come in! Great strike by Pav, hopefully harry likes him enough to keep him. Here does anyone think that Bentley has been a pure waste of space this season? Apart from the goal against the goons there aint too many games were he has looked as been worth 17m quid. BTW Jamie O Hara was fantastic last night when introduced for him!

I had no idea they hated each other so much! Great documentary. Interesting comparison in that ali had sold his image rights for 50m and Frazier lives in a dungeon above a gym!
