Absolutely shambolic today.  Armagh's tactic in the first half seemed to be for Armagh to mark space instead of men and they did that very badly allowing Dublin to cut through them at will by simply not standing still.  Added to this the Armagh midfield seemed incapable or unwilling to track runners particularly Mackin who I thought had his poorest game in a couple of years, allowing Mcauley to run the show.  Finally Armagh fisted 9 passes to Dublin in the first half, you simply can not do that at this level.

There was very little positive from an Armagh point of view with the possible exception of the quality of the pass that lead to the Armagh goal.  I hate to harp on about it but I have yet to see anything from the management to give me any confidence moving forward.  The players also seemed unwilling to perform for them. Also it seemed to me that Dublin, were fitter, faster and stronger all over the pitch which begs the question what is McGurn doing?

Saying as he has nothing to do with the Senior team anymore.. I'll guess probably nothing?

Sorry just edited the post there as you replied.  I am not 100% on that but I remeber hearing somewhere that they were illegal. Maybe (Probably) I am totally wrong.  I could see  nothing wrong with it myself.

I see Donegal had a couple of players fitted with heart monitors before the game yesterday.  I am nearly sure that this practice is illegal in Soccer and Rugby.  Is there any rules in the GAA?  Nothing wrong with monitoring your players progress and it is a good way of looking at their work rate, peaks and resting periods and that sort of thing.  Just looked it up there and nothing mentioning safety risks.  Is there any other counties doing this?

BCB1,

I know you say O'Callaghan would be a miss and he does a good job in the role he plays, but I thought McKeown was very good the other day and steadied things up somewhat when he was introduced.  Paul Kernan was excellent and didnt give an inch.  I know a final is a final but experience should see you through with a few points to spare on Patricks Day.

Anyone else think Downing was brutal yesterday and has offered nothing as of yet?

Thought Lucas and Enrique were class yesterday.  It was an exciting game but it was like a local 5 a side game at times.  I think Liverpool showed that if you get stuck into City and dont give them time on ball you will get at them.  Suarez needs someone playing along side him.  IMO would have stuck Carroll on earlier for Kuyt.

BCB,

Couple of questions,

Pretty obvious,  but do the Cross mangment focus totally on kick passing? Eerything yesterday was off the boot and it is great to watch.  Takes some fitness too to play that type of football.

Also,  Has Stephen Kenan being called into the county this year? Thought he controlled the game yesterday and is probably Cross best player this year.

On yeserdays game,  Cross never panicked.  When Ballinderry got the goal,  they just ploughed away and nearly responded with a goal themselves.  Their defence is still a bit suspect.  James Morgan had a rat game as did Paul McKeown.  Thought O'Callaghan was lucky enough to stay on the field with some clumsy tackles but he is turning into the Donaldson type player, not letting anyone down the middle which is working.

I'd say Cassidy may be happy enough to walk away from the County scence.

In all fairness Milltown Row 2.  Your letting yourself and your club down with some of the shite your talking on here since the game. Embarrassing really!
