Quote from: Spike on April 04, 2025, 09:54:01 AMis that a 25 to 30 mile catchment area? Great niche to find.   Only St Galls and St Brigids can compete with that ;)
And Dunloy

25-30 mile be a bit of a stretch for Dunloy, no?

NatSoSaff

Not much noise about the potential team to face Armagh next weekend. With what appears to be available and what McEntee has been selecting, I would suggest it wont be far off

1 Byrne
2 McCabe
3 Walsh
4 Keenan
5 J Finnegan
6 Lenehan
7 McAleese
8 Stewart
9 Hand
10 P Finnegan
11 McBride
12 Nagle
13 Murray
14 McCann
15 McEnhill

Burns would be unlucky to miss out but McEntee will prob cite size as a big factor in selection. McQuillan and Johnston wont be far away either however the likes of McAuley and Boyle could be surprise starters if he wants to be more defensive. It's difficult to predict as the league games saw him field a team that looked to want to have a go at teams. He cant do that v Armagh or a massacre will ensue. Jordan is a huge loss.

I know that to be absolutely a million miles wide off the mark Young Saff. Tell your "contact" he is talking nonsense.

Andy McEntee is in charge of Antrim seniors and I was talking to him today, he is totally committed to this group for the present, and hopes he can be competitive against Armagh, and regroup to have a crack at the Tailteean.

Maybe some of our better players player like Marc Jordan,  Peter Healy or Adam Loughran might be available to play their part.

In anyone's book, these are some of our top players. Let's hope they are available, and, we can all judge things once full season is over.

Not that anyone is expecting Antrim to win, but hes talking about re-grouping already?

We are well fixed, a few more results like last Sunday and he wont see the club season out.

McGinley got some stick from you for promoting Antrim from Div 4 to 3, then retaining our position in Div 3. The Meath chancer on the other hand getting a bye ball for relegating us with barely a whimper to Div 4. BS you are a serious hypocrite

EOC, I see where you're coming from here. I can take that...there is a need to be consistent!

If you really want to debate this here feel free, but it's not helpful nor the place. But I'm not hard to find....

You are most obviously hurt and perplexed ar the lack of Cargin representation. And there's an emotional attachment there which you most definitely need to declare.

By making that point I should say there's a more than a few Cargin players I would  had fully onboard....but hey ..I've absolutely no say in this. Plus, if you talk to Andy he will tell you he's had 10 Cargin players in at some stage.

EMG had 17 players from Cargin and nearby, and when I called him out when he had suffered his 4th heavy defeat on the trot, it was solely because he had completely lost the dressing room. And that included Cargin representatives by the way.

I'll be consistent if you can be.

If Andys tenure hits that unwelcome milestone, I'll be as vocal as anyone. Until then he has my total support.

Not sure what you mean here! A manager hoping to have some of his injured or better players back??

Am I missing something,

Are Andy McEntee's training sessions like Squid Games or something? All I've heard the last two years is injuries and when this one or that ones back.

Milltown Row2

Took a dander down the other night and seemed like everyone was there bar Healy, I'd fully expect Andy to be picking the best players bar him.

Arguing over Mcentee and McGinley is like two bald men fighting over a comb
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Nothing to do with any cargin player Bannside and he has already hit the most important milestone of planting us in Div 4
