Quote from: Easttyrone23 on July 31, 2024, 11:44:26 PMGortin and Moy are starting to pull away as the top 2 in division 2. They are fixed to play each other on the last game of the league which could effectively make that game a league final.

The division 3 league will be decided this weekend with aghaloo playing Drumquin.

Easttyrone23, were you impressed by the Clarkes last night. Coming to the boil at the right time of the season

Very impressed by the Clarkes,  Certainly the best team I've seen so far this season. The speed they have in their team is ridiculous, and have players all over the pitch that can take a score. Can't think of his name but their corner back scored 4 points and I was told by a Clarkes man beside me he is only 18. P Donaghy has to be the best club player in the county without a doubt, Although in saying that I actually thought Conor Quinn done pretty well on him in the second half. The only negative I would give them is they let Galbally back into the game twice when it looked like they were comfortably ahead, just before half time and again with about 15 to go.

From a Galbally point of view I don't think that result is a bad thing in the long run.

Oisin Cowan was number 4 and would be around the 24/25 mark.

League decider in Div 3 today
Aghaloo host drumquin
Looks like winner takes league title

Who's the fella over Dungannon. Didn't he manage them before. Did he manage Dungannon swifts or is there some connection there.
Just to pick up in another posters comments on another's teams timidness or maybe the other teams aggression. I'd urge any player reading this not to get involved in any of this bullshit. Just play the game. Some day someone will be killed on a football pitch by a punch,it's upto the players to control themselves on the pitch. This nonsense never seems to happen in championship football just league. Only last year Ryan Coleman suffered a nasty jaw break against Clonoe. Just fricken play the game hard and fair

LeoMc

Good wins for Trillick, Omagh, Ardboe and Coalisland, keeping it all tight at the bottom.
These games will really get teams up to championship speed.

Jerome

Aghaloo defence just not able to cope with Drumquin lively forward lin, unsure of who Drumquin have left but the league is in their hands.

You couldn't predict a game in Divison 2. Form means nothing any week.

Quote from: Sean Og Patriots on August 02, 2024, 12:29:41 PMA lot of teams facing crucial games which will stand to them.  I think this years championship winner will come from the bottom half of the table. Eglish could possibly win there next two games & would it be that much of a shock? 6 games remaining a lot of football to be played. Teams in the middle of the table and safe from relegation will rest key players carrying a knock and try out different things, which could result in teams getting points in places you don't expect.

What's happened your lads Sean Og? Top of the League with a 100% record after 4 games, and have now lost 5 on the bounce. Suppose you's have all probably fallen out with each other as usual. Yous will have to go back knocking on all the doors in castlecaulfield if yous want to compete with the best team in the Parish 😉.

Careful with the boasting, Galbally haven't won any of their last three games now.

You are mixed up Easttyrone. Only team who had 100% after 4 games was Carmen.

James Slater, managed the Clarkes to an intermediate title a few years back. He played for the Swifts but didn't manage them. He's a teacher in the Academy.

Drumquin have 2 games left
Donaghmore and Strabane
Can't see them being caught

Galbally sitting along the top of division 1 is new territory for me lad, I have to enjoy it while it lasts 😂.

It would be ironic/funny if Drumquin where promoted and Beragh got relegated. A possibility but I'd say Beragh should survive given the talented players they have.

As said div 2 a minefield.

As in teams like Galbally and Eglish who'll be at the bottom come the end of the league?

Galbally are safe.
Was a joke mate. Galbally had something like 10 points and the person I replied to predicted them to get relegated and was persistent with it

Quote from: Sean Og Patriots on August 01, 2024, 09:12:01 AMI see the table has been updated. Very tight at the bottom. Coalisland Vs Clonoe play off would be something to spectate saying the play-offs are played post championship where they meet in the first round, although I do see both teams escape the play off. Coalisland wont be a nice team to play now after last night. Was watching Clonoe last night... What is it that Trillick just cant beat Clonoe. Is it fear factor? Trillick boys seem to be very timid
when it comes to pushing and shoving.
[/b]
Are Trillick not the current Tyrone champions?

Last year current champions means very little. Been a long time since we had back to back winners.
If Trillick and Clonoe happen to meet in the championship I'd be willing to have a wee bet with you if you fancied Clonoe

That is possible, Will Clonoe get past Coalisland first though?
They're on different sides of the draw......
