4 divisions of 12 teams, playing home and away is 22 games per team. Starting at the beginning of April (this year Sunday 07th) and playing a game every weekend would take us through to 15th September if the 2 week July break is to remain. That gives us 6 weeks to run off the championship before the Ulster club begins and we commence with promotion / relegation play offs in late October.

So start training in January, play until November if you make play offs. Play every week bar 1 (holiday) and until you go out in champo. Some lifestyle for the players as well

Few teams lost out on crucial points last week. Massive 2/3 weeks ahead as teams play 7/8 games over JUST 1 month & played 7/8 games over past 2/3 months is a bit mental to think county board get away with terrible organising of the so called top club football in Ireland. Galbally looking stronger but id say they have peaked too early. Dungannon,Errigal,Clonoe & Coalisland timing it well. Moortown & Derrylaughen also dark horses for intermediate.

How have you come to the conclusion Clonoe and Coalisland have timed it well when they are positioned 13th and 14th with 11 points between them and are both in danger of relegation?
And likewise what are you basing Moortown and Derrylaughan in Intermediate on?

Coalisland not looking to peak too soon with their 14 point loss this evening. Timing it well.

3 points separates Coalisland in 15th and Donaghmore in 9th. It's going to be an interesting few weeks ahead.

Big win for Naomh Eoghan away to Beragh tonight. Making the relegation battle very interesting already. Beragh v Stewartstown next Wednesday a key game in the relegation battle now.

New this would be a battle but surprised it was an away win all the same - big win for Stewartstown to go to Beragh and win comfortably, another key relegation battle with Owen Roes on Sunday for the Red Knights. The bottom of Div2 getting very interesting. Kildress got a point in a game we had hoped we could win but not the performance we wanted. Still have 3 teams below us to play so hoping that we should be okay. Clogher running League leaders to a point also shows they wont be a handy 2 points for anyone.

There are generational big guns like Carrickmore and Coalisland that like the status quo. A big top tier means it's hard to get out of it.

Coalisland will survive via the structures this year

Gortin and Moy are starting to pull away as the top 2 in division 2. They are fixed to play each other on the last game of the league which could effectively make that game a league final.

The division 3 league will be decided this weekend with aghaloo playing Drumquin.

Where have Gortin come from this season to put such a good set of results together. Gortin wouldnt have been on the lips of many at the start of the season as league challengers.

They must have wintered very well, got the head down, Rock seem to be going very well also.

Greencastle & Moortown will be disappointed with their season but will still be targeting a good championship run.

I am not advocating it. I am pointing out the reality of a 22 game league season.

Coalisland Vs Clonoe play off would be something to spectate saying the play-offs are played post championship where they meet in the first round, although I do see both teams escape the play off. Coalisland wont be a nice team to play now after last night. Was watching Clonoe last night... What is it that Trillick just cant beat Clonoe. Is it fear factor? Trillick boys seem to be very timid when it comes to pushing and shoving.
