There is a fair bit of unwarranted criticism of Brian Mallon without any consideration as to whether or not the role he is being asked to play actually suits his style of play. Personally I would like to see him play in a more attacking role, as traditional chf or sniping around the square, rather than the quasi half back role he seems to be playing at the moment.
