Surely I'd only be bitter if Dublin had turned us over tankie? Not since 95, so no I'm not bitter. Just wondering.

Open any newspaper in Dublin between January and September and see how many pictures of Dublin jersies with the sponsors logo are in it - then re-think your question and think about what a sponsor wants..

79 Championship games is some going. Think he's also made nealry 100 league apps.

Is 79 a record? Who else would be in the top ten?

I can't see Jacko being surpassed. He won player of the year four times and was probably in the top 3 players of the year six times.
Since Jacko last won player of the year award in '85 no player has won player of the year more than once, although a few Tyrone and Kerry players could do it this year.

trevor giles?

Think he won it once just. Pat Spillane might have won his second in 86 though!

After scoring 2-8 at the weekend, Paddy Bradley moves to Ulsters Top Scorer Ever in Championship Football.  A tremendous achievement.  There are many who will say that he benefited from playing many qualifier games but in fact, he has ammassed the total in less games than any of the others in the top list.  At 28, Im sure he will continue to push his tally further.

he'll have no bother counting his medals though :-*

He's won a right few medals in his career I'd reckon. I'm sure he takes longer polishing his than you do.  :P

The county board were shrewd here, they imposed a ban on the club and by diong so put pressure on the man that did the durt, forcing his hand (excuse the pun) into owning up and he promptly recieved a lengthy ban, they then reinstated the club into the championship and so justice seems to have run it's course, except for the poor fecker who has a fractured jaw.

Catch a grip man, 48 weeks for a punch? Justice??!

That's the 7th Leinster Championship Dublin have won since Jayo came on the scene in 1995. I assume he was part of all these triumphs and has 7 Leinster medals....I was just wondering is there any player in history with more Leinster SFC medals than him?

Rather than start another thread, can anyone help me with a pub argument? Someone claimed three Dublin players have four All-Ireland senior football medals. I can only get 2. Any ideas? I think the third one (if he exists) might not have played in one of the finals involved.

Brian Mullins.

Kevin Heffernan won one as a player and three as manager, but I don't think managers get a medal so therefore could't be him.

Jaysus we're meeting some shower of hoors this year. Armagh and now Derry.

Derry-Tyrone games are always hard to call. Tyrone handled Derry rightly in 2002 when Tohill's elbows were flying in all directions. Derry should've beaten us first time out in 2003 but in the replay Ricey got under Bradley's skin and that was that. The 2004 humiliation of Derry was probably the easiest game against the in-breds. 2006 was some payback for Derry, a humiliation on home turf for Tyrone.

How will Derry cope without ginger Doherty or is having your full strength midfield not a big deal against Tyrone?

I think Derry have more options than Armagh in the forward division. The two Bradleys will be a handful and Lynch/Kielt can perform on any given day. Muldoon if fit is another option. Armagh were chronically poor against Tyrone. It was the fact that Tyrone stepped off the gas, not Armagh clinging on, that brought Armagh back into it. Armagh will exit to a half-decent side and I think Mickey'll not be reading too much into that win.

For Tyrone they'll be waiting to see how O'Neill responds to that game, Dooher's fitness and McCullagh's return from injury.

That was completly accidental, you could tell by Tohill's reaction, as well as the ref's and the Tyrone player's (Cormac McAnallen i think).

Was that the day Sean Cavanagh was sniped from the crowd?  :D :D :-[
