Carrick, Rojo, Jones and Blind all out of tomorrows game, with Evans still suspended we're down to the bare bones at the back again. Shaw presumably in for Blind with McNair partnering Smalling in the centre.

I've had one set of decent clubs ever since I started and they were 2nd hand when I got them :-) I am toying with changing them at the minute. I did buy a good driver, a Cobra lv4 about 5 years ago after trying it at a demo night and liking it. I read recently that drivers lose the "spring" off the face after 3/4 years, anyone know is this true or more marketing hyperbole??

I'm an 18 handicapper and never going to get any better at this stage but would still like to do the best I can off that number

I was reading this today, shocking stuff if true indeed.. He stops short of outright accusing him in the book apparently but enough heavyweight football correspondents referenced it today to suggest it's probably true.

Chelsea's next two games are home to United and away to Arsenal. Is it possible they lose both? I think it is possible. That would leave things a little more interesting. Arsenal currently 25/1 and United 33/1. I know it's highly unlikely but is it THAT unlikely?

Can't see Jose losing both games to be honest.  He should pick up at least a point.  I guess if United were to win at Stamford Bridge it would be interesting to see how Chelsea react to the pressure.

However, I think Mourinho will get a draw in a forgettable game this Saturday.

Lets face it Chelsea don't need to win this weekend and United wouldn't exactly turn down a draw either.

José's modus operandi is to set himself up in a game like not to lose and he'll know he has enough quality in the middle of the park and forward line even without Costa to nick a goal and win 1-0. A dull draw is a possibility, a lot will depend on whether United decide to have a good go at it or not..

I think United will have a go at it - they don't really have anything to lose.  Regardless of this result top 4 should still be assured.

A defeat for Chelsea could really put the jitters on them so I think Mourinho will disrupt the game as much as possible.  Hope I'm wrong, but I can't see it being a great game.

Uniteds grip on fourth (or better) is roughly the same as Chelsea's on 1st? Two defeats for United would give them the jitters not forgetting its Everton away next week

I happened on an episode of Fawlty Towers last night on Gold, its still brilliant after all these years. Amazing to think only 12 episodes were ever made.

Who are pulling the strings in this Sterling circus? Three stories in the one week!

Is it his agent trying to make his position untenable at the club or the club itself trying to pull him back into line

I've not noticed a lot of praise for Rooney on the current run to be honest?

Not a huge admirer of his ever since he tried to force a transfer but he's by far Uniteds best attacking option at present and the most likely of the 3 to be still in situ next year.

On strikers there's rumbling on Twitter today of United seeking permission from Burnley to speak to Danny Ings? Worth a punt?

Worth a punt if he's a reasonable price and is being purchased in view to being a squad player or future 1st teamer, not worth a punt if he's overpriced and our main target
He's out of contract in the Summer but cause of his age, 22 I think, Burnley will be due compensation. Probably will only want 50-60k a week, only  ;D. I seen him linked with other clubs including Liverpool too.

The thought appears to be that Burnley will try and broker a deal with some club pre-summer rather than go to a trbunal where they mightn't do as well..

Going on our first family summer holiday Friday week.
3 year old and a 1 year old on a 4hr flight..
Any tips? Plenty of Peppa Pig on the iPad I suppose is a start.

I've wondered are they are too young to be taking anywhere abroad but the wife insisted we were going!
There was a thing called the Airport Genie when we went last year. We paid about 14 quid (for two adults and two kids)and there was no going through that big long queue  at security, you went straight to the top of security. My youngest doesn't do waiting so it was worth every penny. I goggled it a minute ago but couldn't see it. The golf is on so so can't be arsed!!
Flying out at 6.30am queues at security might not be a problem?

Not too young.  We've had our youngins away at 1 year old. Always a wee gamble to how they will take to the flying. Plenty of snacks on top of the I pad and colouring books. I take it the 1 year old is on the knee? Pack a wee pillow if possible, plane should have blankets.  pick a seat near toilet / changing area as you don't wanna be a good bit away and be stuck behind the trolleys if in need of a pit stop.

Be very paranoid when applying the sun block. Plenty and often as even a wee bit of sun burn will make sleeping a torture and don't wake hungover ! 4 hr flight,  canary islands? Will be hot. Get up and out to the beach / pool for about 8 am. Stay in the shade from 11 onwards. Back to the pool / beach later on. Hard to beat. We're just looking ourselves. Not too many bargains out there

Thanks Jog.
Yeah Canary islands.

Assuming you're out of Dublin 6.30am is possibly in the busiest period of the day, I checked todays schedule and there was 40 odd flights between 6-7. If your out of Terminal 2 it'll not be too bad but give yourself buckets of time if T1.

Yep, wasn't a dig at you. It's important in this day and age to keep the long view in mind.

Its hard to expect guys on internet forums and social media to keep perspective when a fair share of "experts" in the media don't?? Viewed in hindsight a lot of what is said is laughable and I'm not just talking about United, I'm talking in general.

Paul Merson, Charlie Nicholas, Stan Collymore, Robbie Savage I could go on!!!!

So now I'm confused. Is Van Gaal still a spoofer and a bluffer, or is he now the messiah again?

In the modern world of social media and instant kneejerk reactions he'll only ever be a couple of games away from being a spoofer and a bluffer again... ;)

As is the way now everything has to be the best, the biggest, the worst or whatever. Sky Sports News produced a mind blowing array of stats this morning, all very nice but ultimately pointless other than the one that said Masters Champion 2015 - Jordan Spieth....

Best performance in a major for me, Tiger at Pebble Beach in 2000. He finished -12 on a course where the next guy was +3, no point in showing the list of the chasing pack there wasn't one...

This BBC coverage is great ,and its on NOW!(red button)-Sky coverage is dung...whatever time they're going to start showing live action!

On under red button on Sky too, was explained on here yesterday or day before why coverage is so patchy on ALL channels until a certain time..
